Easy this one.

Lots of cheap amaretto, sambuca and grappa prosecco in easy-to-drink large flasks. Place within easy reach of German players on Friday and Saturday nights. Watch the carnage. Win the game.

Ta daaaa!

I like it... find the enemy's weakness and exploit it... perfect!

I say we creep around the camp late at night and tie dozens of little straw dollies (you know, the ones in Blair Witch Project) to every German tent. They drive off screaming, they forfeit the game, we win...ta daa.

You will be issued with maps on the day.
This should give you an idea of what to expect...

Brens, smokes, grenades and foolhardy infantry charges. Let's use that MO for everything - even the dinner .

Assuming we're going to be able to use the tank, what is going to be the most effective way of utilizing it.

Run them down!

Ah yes in a perfect world, run em down would be the tactic I would use, however I think maybe not.
I was more thinking about is the tank going to advance ahead of the infantry like a shield, giving us the ability to move forward quicker or is it going to move up behind an infantry screen and push forward to form a solid base of fire when contact is made?

Following my message before however I did look up the thread and realise it was more to do with how drunk the Germans were going to be on Saturday night which will inevitably win the game haha Luckily I don't drink so there will be one sober person without a hangover on the Sunday

As there are no set roads on the site we are going to have to think very carefully about how we integrate the tank into the game from an H&S point of view.

Assume, at the moment, that it's not going to be moving around the site in a way that could be used tactically.

Besides, none of you know what you are going to have to do yet, so how can you discuss tactics!?

Here's a few pointers:

When fired upon don't stop moving.
Don't hide behind trees too much.
Move up on an enemy under a base of suppressing fire.
Where possible, flank the enemy to get at right angles with cross fire.
Move quickly, quietly and through cover.
Fire short, controlled bursts.
When attacking show aggression and decisiveness, work as a team.
When defending fall back and re-group rather than fighting to the death. It's better to retreat safely and counter attack than to die trying to defend.
When retreating do it in an organised manner. Don't turn your back on the enemy unless a team-mate is firing at them. Pepperpot backwards.
Use pyro efficiently when attacking to shock and awe. Use smoke for cover and flank through it.
When necessary, stay still and covered. Don't shoot until you see the whites of their eyes.....honestly. Theres no point engaging as soon as the first person comes into range, all his buddies will be out of range and able to flank.
Conserve your energy, breathe deeply and regularly, take on plenty of water.

I guess one more important thing that HS didnt mention is to just have fun...Im certainly going to. I've been waiting for a moment to get into a good tactical fight. Im certainly looking to learn alot, and improve my game.

Its difficult, to bring tactics into the spray and pray game, hi-cap games ive been playing in my first year in airsoft.

Fun is the result of all that stuff I mentioned.

To be honest, CiA games have become as renowned for the social aspect as much as the gameplay, both of which are excellent of course.
