I remember, but cannot find a reference now so might have been dreaming, that there was going to be camping available of the Friday and Saturday for this. Is this so/still the plan?
My apologies if the answer is 'it is months away, sod off an wait for us to tell you', I am just going through my diary and planning my offensives for player wrangling. 
Wladek, your recollections are correct. Event runs throughout Saturday, and social is on Saturday night. And Friday night also.

Just a quick one on the camping front where is the camping area? looking on google earth it just looks like a great big quarry. Is it on site or nearby?

I believe the camping area is in fields opposite. There are basic toilet facilities on the site, but I would advise bringing your own water.

It is the small field between the quarry and the road on the east side ,nearest to the entrance.

No worries matey, there ARE some very strange people on Portland ,and anyway you are on the other side so it doesn't matter if you upset the CMP. 
i will be coming on Friday make thing alot easier as a bit far to travel

Yep Friday night aswell as over a 6 hr drive for me
