Thanks to everyone who made the effort to travel hundreds of miles and camp on top of a cliff in force 8 gales just to attend this event.
The standard of play was excellent, everybody got on with following mission objectives by working in their teams and the level of kit was the best I have ever seen at an airsoft event.
Well done to all of you. Hopefully you enjoyed playing it as much as we enjoyed running it
what an awesome day really enjoyed myself top marks to you Martin for this everyone played well had so much fun
well done to those defending Bruno so well we held out as long as we can
Big thanks to the organisers and all those who put time and much effort into this. I had an excellent day, even if I can barely move now.
All I can do is mirror what has already been said, a great weekend, thanks all
What a fantastic way to start a weekend...
I really thoroughly enjoyed it all! Many thanks to all who planned it, organised it, and ran it.

What a great weekend, and a tribute to the WWII airsoft community, from those lending kit and guns, to those making insignia for comrades, etc - well done all of you. Thanks to the machine gunners, who used a lot of BBs, to all attendees, old and new, and wonderful hospitality from Mike and Tracey.
Highlights for me were our first CP being annihilated by the very surprise attack from Bruno - even I didn't expect that! And when we finally attacked up the hill and took Bruno, it was sweet revenge.
The fantastic kit level from the Brits was brilliant - they really looked like a rag-tag bunch, exactly what the Italian campaign was like.
Running an event like this was like plate-spinning - trying to make sure all the troops at the various locations were being kept interested. Hats off to the Royal Engineers, who were so patient as the infantry struggled to fight their way through to the hedgehogs and minefields.
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
What a superb game. Definately the most immersive game I've played - a command structure that worked well (people doing what they were ordered to do), mortars, brens to counter the MG42's. The movable forward CP for the brits was a great idea, helped to keep some momentum going until we reached the hedgehogs. That Bruno outpost up on the cliff was a real pain until at the second attempt we overan it.Top notch. Great to meet some new faces and guys who haven't played WW2 before who certainly seemed to enjoy themselves.
Top marks to everyone who helped organise it, your hard work certainly paid off. What else can I say. Brilliant.
Great event; from all the build up with the leaking of bits of information to the day itself. Well done and a BIG thanks to all involved in the running of it.
I thoroughly enjoyed myself and there were many highlights - the chance to mix KD and BD until it simply got too hot, tactically shirking at the back with the Engineers, being blown to pieces by the booby trapped land mine, being blown up by the artillery shell, being shot point blank in the face (not at the time maybe but I can smile - painfully - about it now) and so on but the pinnacle was working through the rocks with Dean to come out through a crack right by the first set of hedgehogs and managing to get the charges placed and lit. Special mention for the props there, fantastic.
Great to see everyone and the level of kit was excellent. Many thanks to Rob for the 1st Division badges for the Engineers
Roll on the next one!

I have a small skewer hidden in the collar of my jumping jacket, and a razorblade in my gaiter, as well as my knife.
Well what can I say?
Great game, great standard of kit, great people. It is the best game I have ever attended people will certainly have to up their game to match this.
For me the event had three strong influences.
Superb scenario well executed by both sides, the tenacity of the Brits was fantastic “They came on in the same old style and we saw them off in the same old style†June 18 I`m sure you know what I mean.
Great Props, Chech hedge hogs, barbed wire and yes the mines. Steady Steady bang . Well done Bosh almost blew his leg off drew blood and a hole in the trousers to boot all for the fatherland. The field phones were a very nice touch bringing a new dimension to the battlefield with communications. Being in the main Bunker I felt like I was in the film Cross of iron. Every 2 mins the phone went and I was half expecting Capt Stransky saying “We are being attacked, we are counter attacking I am wounded don`t worry I will do my duty†Hmmm animal great guy,
really held Bruno together, superb gang of guys and the key to our success.
And the whole bunch of people who took part really getting in the spirit of things.
Nothing more to add apart from a big thanks to the organisers who I know have put in so much effort.
Role on the next event

Fantastic day of airsofting and generally cocking about looking photogenic. Well worth the effort, despite the 200 mile journey and resulting expense. Great to see so many people in full WW2 'bling'.
Well done to all concerned, especially the original defenders of 'Anton'. We may not have held it for long (though we did get it back) but we did have the finest MG position I've ever seen in an airsoft game!
Hope to see many of you again soon.

Yes, a great event, it was particularly inspired of the organisers to arrange a genuine Italian Campiagn 'camping on a freezing mountain in a gale' experience, all it needed was a few random artillery shells
Great day out, very immersive with a full range of emotional responses - fear, exhaustion, thirst, boredom, pain but also excitement and elation. The morale swings as each side completely knackered then recovered a bit were fascinating.
The tight ammo limits worked extremely well, with my rifle I never ran out of ammo, but the SMG users had to be very careful and the wind discouraged long range plinking so in an airsoft first for me, the ranged battle was mainly fought by the machineguns. Very realistic indeed, and every time one of those damn Brens turned up we felt slightly helpless and doomed. I'm sure the MG42s had a similar effect on the other side. The mortar was great fun as well, and props were just fantastic.
Well done and thank you to the organisers for all their hard work, and to all the players for making such a great effort to play in the spirit of the time. Time for another futile counterattack....
Cheers
Martin

Glad it all went so well folks. I'm even more narked that I was working this weekend now!
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
The new mortar rounds have a very impressive range. Best shot of the day was the one right through the roof of the German CP!!
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
By pure fluke I was outside the CP having a crafty ciggie when that round went in through the roof We'd got used to that blooming mortar going off all day, and didn't pay any attention untill the round went off!
Just one Question,
Has anyone got a map with Anton,Bertha,Zeplin and like on them, it would help alot when describing what happened to the family!
Thanks again for a Wonderfull weekend!!
Hmm, For some reason im not authorised to see it...
any ideas why?
Nah i was with the Germans, it might be cause i only reigistered recently and i was signed up by a mate....
