A very nice chap on the PST! forum sent me a link to a photoshoot his FJ re-enactment unit did at the actual site of Arrow Route

Looks a bit like your average airsoft field :slap:

Ah yes but, if you went to Monte Cassino today you would see the same type of thing, green rolling hills etc. But look at the war time pictures of Cassino and it looks like a Barren cratered moonscape with hardly a single tree still standing! The quarry is spot on for it IMO!

So donÒ€ℒt think I marched there for this reason Γ’β‚¬β€œ it could carry another name Γ’β‚¬β€œ but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take Γ’β‚¬β€œ and you know Γ’β‚¬β€œ we are very modest, we have it already."

:giggle:

These are all original photos from the Gothic line 1944. you can see that it is very rocky in places and once the green grass and trees have been chewed up and spat out by constant bombing and artillery, that the underlying ground is dusty, rocky and chalky. Very similar to our venue! There are actually a few bits of the gaming area which are green and have foliage on them. It is certainly as close as you are ever likely to get with a UK airsoft site!

This should do the trick, cotton not silk but the right colour and dot size. you could make 2 or 3 out of the one scarf! :good:
