Just remembered Tanaka are now doing a Type 99 Short Rifle http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/sniper-rifle ... rifle.html and Marushin have been doing a Nambu pistol for a while http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/catalogsearc ... &x=27&y=10 and KTW is making a Type 96 LMG so you can even get the correct guns :good:

Everything you need, apart from the actual uniform itself, hat or boots.

Well I have the hat and US roughouts work for the boots.

 that'll teach me to look a bit closer before I post, although hopefully if someones gone to all the trouble of making the equipment hopefully they'll be doing the uniforms as well, plus the uniform in some of the pictures looks new so I assume repro's must be available somewhere.

£100 for all the webbing you need doesn't sound too bad. What about uniforms though? Any ideas where to get them cheap?

How useable are those guns though? The Tanaka will be ok, but what about the others? Especially the Type 96 with its AEP gearbox. :slap: Non of them are particularly cheap either. :(

£70 for the entire uniform including insignia? Thats what I call a bargain! Its lucky I have no money or I could be very tempted.

Yes the sizes are a little odd. Quite short legs for the waist sizes and I'm not sure I'd call a 45" chest a medium.

I didn't realise it wasn't buy it now but that means you could get it even cheap if no one else is interested. What kind of numpty tries to out bid on a store item anyway? Postage is ok though.

They used to be buy it now a month or so ago... I guess he's trying to see how much he can sell them for. Maybe they'll appear as buy it nows again?

BTW, the hat I have is one from one of those sets. It's okay, but not amazing quality. It was made to measure though, so perhaps it's possible to contact them and get a price for a custom set? I've not bothered as I have other priorities... heck right now I am umming and ahhing over a british gas cape!

Oh... and these sets are the tropical uniforms...

There is one question I need an answer to... what webbing should be used with the jap SMG, (Type 100?) the mags sure as hell wouldn't fit in Type 99 pouches!

Found this, thought you might find it interesting:

Seems Thailand got stuck in in Burma, not entirely willingly by the sound of things. No idea about Thai kit, i'll have a dig and see what I can find.

Be carefull as this is the early style uniform mainly used in the early stages of the Sino-Japanese war.
One easy to spot differnce is the collar. 8)

Hi Glenlivet45,

Nice pictures of the japanese kit! I want to make a replica japanese tubepack and I saw you have one.
Can you please send me some pictures of your unfolded tube-pack?
So I know what shape it must be.
Any suggestions are welcome.

Best wishes,

Marc
