Hi, I'm thinking of booking in January on the US team...however, as a newbie to WWII airsoft, I currently only have my M42 101st Airborne jump suit, boots and webbing (and my M1 helmet of course). I was wondering if replacing just the M42 jacket with either an M41 jacket or enlisted man's shirt would be acceptable? Due to money issues, I can't really afford to buy a whole new uniform. I'm still not sure how seriously the authenticity of uniforms is taken, so apologies if this question comes across as a bit daft.
Cheers,
Adam

This would seem to be a common problem. A lot of airsofters have US airborne gear before they get involved with WW2 airsoft. You will find that investing in a more generic infantry uniform will open up more games. HBT trousers won't set you back much, I don't know if they are appropriate to the specific era though, but I bet you would get away with it. M38 lace up leggings will also be a good investment as they will hide which boots you have
Friend of mine might be coming if any one has spare allied kit. he has absolutely zero ww2 kit so any help is appreciated.
Have FJ tropical kit to lend, fits 34in waist 6ft tall, 58 fit helmet, Andy.
i have a fair bit of british equipment webbing mainly to spare but i have to book in first hopefully in the next couple of days when i get the money.
I have two spare KD shirts and a pair of KD shorts to lend out: 42"to 44" chest/5'-10" to 6' 2" height/ 34" to 36" waist
And two spare 'service brown' MkII helmets to lend out; Approx 58cm/59cm

Can I dibs one of the shirts and the pair of shorts for my girlfriend please? Might take the offer of one of the helmets too, but would need to measure her head first.
Also need a set of webbing for her, size 6 & a half/7 boots if anyone has them (big if, I know) and weapons for both of us (I have a VSR-11, but it's two tone and shoots way over 350 fps). Oh, and a decent pair of safety glasses for her.
Cheers, Moss.
As I'm in officer mode, I can bring a skeleton set of webbing along. I'd suggest just using a good set of black boots that are her own rather than borrowing. DMS or even low Doc Martens would suffice.

Thanks, much appreciated. If you have a spare small pack that would be very useful too as she is bringing her family's camera and want's to keep it safe until she needs it for pictures.
On the subject of boots, she has 2 pairs of Doc Martins but one pair is navy blue and the other pair are very high legged. We were looking at buying some modern assault boots but I thought I'd ask here first.
You don't _have_ to wear boots, I came an across account by a chap called Douglas Firbank who seemed to spend much of his time in Tunisa wearing plimsolls. He said it was much easier to climb rocks in them than ammo boots.
Desert boots were popular too, both my kids have tan desert boots. Evidently they are somewhat fashionable now.
Leather boots are probably better for ankle support at Sandpit though.
Cheers

I was thinking about ankle support more than anything, but I will look into desert boots as an option.
Thanks, Moss.
