From what I've found, there were no real working fatigues issued and so many sets of British Denims were captured with the fall of France they were issued in lieu.
There's seemingly little uniformity between UBoat crew clothing.

Out of interest, why did they wear British BD?
As stated Germans captured loads of kit at Dunkirk which they put to good use.
I can lend out my denim BD jacket if any wants to use one. I'm still not here if I'll be wearing my woolen BD jacket, of I'm not then I'll lend that out too
