Hi everyone,

Had a great time at San Marino on Saturday, so I thought I'd sign up to the forum :) Great to see the effort everyone had made with kit. We had a good time in the evenings, too.

I'm planning on getting some kit appropriate to an SOE/partisan role for now, so I'll get myself some '37 pattern webbing and some period clothing.

Ann

ETA: San Marino was my first airsoft game as well my first WW2 event!

Welcome to the forum.
The great thing about partisans is that no-one is going to tell you your gear isn't correct. I'm sure the Cornish lads are thoroughly looking forward to being dragged to vintage fairs etc. to help you get your outfit together :)

Thank you :)

Great to hear that no-one is going to say my kit isn't correct :P Might have to see if there is a vintage fair locally, how would I find out about these things?

Thats one of the great mysteries us men never have worked out
Try google? Also look in charity shops and think of an outfit you would be able to put together in the 1940's suitable for running for the hills to fight the Germans. Then just add lots of guns and grenades etc.

Hello and welcome. Great to see you at the San Marino slaughter.

There are lots of good pictures of resistance and partisan troops out on the web, always worth a look for inspiration :D

Hello and welcome,

no-one is going to tell you your gear isn't correct.

I really wouldn't worry about that, this is Airsoft not re-enactment.

You may find that doing a Partisan impression isn't hugely cheaper than a normal uniform though.

Cheers

Thanks guys for the welcome.

The cost isn't anything to do with my choice of going down the SOE/partisan route, and is more to do with respect for what some of the women did who were sent out on missions.

Oh, and I don't have to pretend to be a bloke that way either :P

Welcome to the forum, sounds like you've made an interesting choice for your first impression. You'll find that with current fashion trends you might be able to pick up the odd thing that looks pretty convincing in places like H&M and charity shops. I've managed to get some decent satchels, scarves and other bits that way.

No probs, for my own Volkssturm loadout I went for a nice leather satchel I found in a surplus shop, thing is tougher than cast iron. Great for dumping binoculars, spent mags, pyro, snacks, bb's etc. The small british shoulder bags are great for this too -

And at about £8 for repros they can be a more appropriate and cheaper alternative to webbing for a partisan loadout.

Raffles - Those repros are great for the price :) Both myself and PartisanRed had one each at San Marino, very useful.

McVickers - Thank you
