Welcome! And you are correct it most certainly is better :good:

“I wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."
Adolf Hitler, November 1942

"Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."
Joseph Stalin, November 1942

Hi Ed and welcome :happydance:

I play both - modern and WW2 - and I really enjoy both for different reasons

Have fun :happyclap:

I've never heard of a story of anyone losing an eye in airsoft - eye protection is the number one priority. Always.
I can see why you would be worried though - you will still need eye protection just to watch a game (as does everyone in a gaming area) as a random or negligent burst in your direction will be bad news otherwise.

I can understand why you are being cautious, but if it is any reassurance, one of my regular airsofting pals has one eye and he's been doing it for years. We are all very careful about eye protection.

Cheers
Martin

indeed welcome ,good eye protection is a must ,ive heard of some people getting a scratched eye because they wore poor fitting shooting glasses, but its rare, whats far more common is lost teeth, my regular site is over the hundred mark now for lost teeth so tooth protection is also a good idear, though many adults decide to take the risk it is compulsory for under 18'as.dont let it put you off as if you have good protection your eye will be safe.mesh gogles are the safest and not dear and there are some that look pretty good these days, likewise mesh mouth protection thats not too cumbersome is now easy to come by.

Thats an scary amount, i have ever known one person to have lost a tooth when i have gone skirmishing in all my years. Where do you normally go? Is it all CQB related?
