Young Scottish airsofter here who has recently been tempted over to a ww2 loadout.
(I got bored of multicam and m4's)
Saw the KWC luger, fell in love and just had to get a loadout to go with it.
I've just been skirmishing this kit at my local sites, and it certainly turns heads, but I'd really love to attend some proper ww2 events, So I thought I'd jump on here and get a feel for things.
Here's my kit:
German Heer Infantry Leutnant (Some inspiration taken from Wilhelm from "Genaration War")
There are a few flaws in it, namely;
Water bottle cover is wrong and needs replacing.
K98 is wrong for an officer (MP40 is on the way though)
Cap isn't really for field use, and needs replacing with a crusher cap.
I still need to get some jackboots.
Other than those, any other improvements or suggestions greatly welcomed.
I can post a full kit list if you want but I'm not sure this is the right thread for it.
Look's good , I'd focus on getting an enlisted man's uniform now you plan on attending WW2 events ,for the most part the game organisers are the officers as they need to direct the game plan and it gets confusing otherwise .get booked onto a game and get started .

Hello and welcome. My officer loadout is also based on Wilhelm too, but as Dadio says, you need to sort out an enlisted man's gear as the organisers often wear officers uniforms. Jacket, belt and you are sorted (or are they officers breeches?).
You don't need jackboots, low boots and gaiters are fine. Any old modern black boot looks OK with gaiters but British Combat Highs are the best match.

Will look into getting an enlisted man's jacket and belt sorted in time for attending my first event.
Got an em ski cap lying about somewhere too.
Picked a lieutenant because I still wanted to use my luger, but i'm a bit young looking to pass as an nco, but it makes more sense that the organisers be officers.
Can demote myself down to gefreiter 
As for the jackboots, getting them is more down to personal preference, I just think they look better.
I have been using british high boots with gaiters, and they do the job and they look alright, just like the look of jackboots a bit more.
you can keep the officers kit for the evening social (piss up),that's where the bling comes out and everybody can be a general , when you get jack boot's (marching boots) make sure you give yourself a month to break them in before you use them ,especially if you get the post war one's with the stick on rubber sole as they are like iron when you get them and nothing can ruin a game like footwear ,have a look at my "breaking bund " thread for some tips .

Can't stress the footwear advice enough. I absolutely killed my feet at Candleston with boots I was confident were well broken in; took the skin off the back of my heels and have consequently been walking like I've attended a Michael Barrymore pool party for the last week.
