Hello and welcome.

My original plan was to be British but I seemed to end up as a German and now a Russian. I'm sure I'll manage British some time, maybe next year....

Cheers
Martin

Are you meaning :-

Tunic
Trousers
Belt
buckle
insignia
boots
shirt
socks
Y-Straps
Ammo pouches
breadbag
waterbottle
gasmask canister
bayonet frog
bayonet
sidecap or M43
Helmet?

I cannot think of one that does all that as a package.

However - things to buy initially:-

tunic
trousers
headgear
A belt and buckle

Mind you - might be worthwhile getting along to a WW2 event, in hire gear or 'lookie-likey' to see if the events are what your looking for before investing

Good advice, Del boy. :good: Rizzo, unless you have mountains of cash at your fingertips, Del's suggestion above is the best way to go. Feel free to PM me with any questions about kit and suppliers. BTW, whereabouts are you based ?

Any WW2 German helmet can be worn. M35, M40 & M42 were all in use.

If buying a helmet I would suggest an M40, as for Splinter Helmet cover - it wasn't compulsary.

In fact, if you look through picture books, helmet covers were not common.

When starting out a cap is a lot cheaper than a steel helmet. I got one of those cheapo plastic Stahlhelms, but I wasn't convinced about its ability to keep BBs out, so I got a helmet cover as well to make it a bit more sturdy! They really aren't a bad repro, almost identical in size to a real one, just ever so slightly narrower.

Cheers
