hi and welcome fella....oh and merry x-mas.
best way to get started....choose a side, look at the kit guides at the top of the page, then apply for a credit card :good: :)

Excellent - you've come to the right place. :)

Have a look at the kit guides (links at top of page), and see what you like the look of. And the individual sections (i.e. for Brit, German and US) have a lot of info about kit too. Best thing is to ask on here before you buy anything - to save you getting ripped off, or save you buying unnecessary kit.

(P.S. We always need more Jerries! )

I must say I DO enjoy the German uniform. Though slightly undecided about it as part of my family are German and it's a slightly sore point with them.
I am also trying to find out which division my great uncle Fritz was in. All I know is he was on the Eastern front near the end of the war and I am hoping it might be Grossdeutschland.
Other than that I have bits and bobs from different armies, M1 helmet here, British medals there, pair of jackboots somewhere...

Also recieved the huge book The Armed Forces of World War II; uniforms, insignia and organisation for Christmas... so many uniforms to choose from.

Is it possible to change sides if I get bored over time? (I should clearly be an Italian)

Oh yes, many of us portray two or three nations. 8)

And a good few here have relatives from both sides of the conflict also.
