Hi

I tried out ww2 airsoft before, with an axis loadout, however I idnt really put to mush though into it and slapped together a few items. Im looking to get back into it though, I think I will prob go down the brit route this time though, the axis loadout looks cool, but it was a nightmare (expensive) to source bits, However im not naive to the fact that the brit loadout may just be similarly costly

anyway I look forward to getting involved

Sean

willkommen

Ask people there is a wealth of knowledge on here about the right kit.
Most important get to a game. There is generally plenty of kit to borrow so ask away.

Brist most welcome at the Kasserine Game near you. Check the forum game section out.

Check out the kit guides in the topic.

If you don`t have all the correct stuff just ask to borrow or contact me via PM and I will see if I can rustle some stuff up for you.

Hello and welcome,

as above, kit guides give good hints on getting started, and people will lend stuff out. The kit doesn't need to be stitch perfect, we aren't re-enactors, but obviously it is good to get something close.

Specifically wrt the Kasserine game, Tunisia is one of those theatres where really anything goes. The troops wore everything from desert KD to full battledress, greatcoats and woolly jumpers (it can get very cold and wet in Tunisia).

Anyway, hope to see you at an event soon.
Cheers
Martin

Do you live near Billericay at all? There's a Skirmish site there that me and a friend go to (I'm British Airborne, he's German Heer). It'd be great to have another ww2 guy to help us in the fight against the modern guys!

Regards,

Ralph

Hello and welcome to the forum! As the others have said, try and get to a game to get a feel for things - most folk are always very willing to lend kit if you're lacking bits and bobs.

Hopefully see you at Kasserine in May!

Im up for playing kasserine, I just need to scramble together some kit, the problem Im having is with the blouse sizes, as I need a 44 inch chest, but also my gut measures about 44 inches also.

I just need to find a fat soldier outlet haha

I don't believe Hikishop actually do British uniforms.

These guys should have battledress in your size, as well as Khaki Drill. I personally don't have any experience with their BD, though I do know that loads of people on here use it and have no major problems except for the cut of the blouses being a bit long to compensate for the larger gent, but I do have theirs KD and can say that it is very nice.
Hope this helps. :good:

Just go a size up on the chest if in doubt. I'm a 44' with a gut that's expanded due to all that muscle and solid rib cage structure... Fits me fine with room to spare.
