Hi all,
I live in a small town on the east coast called Clacton-on-sea (essex)
I only started going airsoft just before Christmas, I've always had a keen interest in the ww2 era (mainly thanks to my grandfather), so when i started going airsoft a ww2 kit seemed the best way to go.
My first ww2 event was last Saturday "the road to Rome" and i must say the experience i had totally blew me out of the water, was an amazing day and very well run,
Wearing German combat equipment for a whole day was no easy task as my fellow team members will confirm.
The thing that surprised me the most however was how nice everybody was, great bunch,
Many thanks to my allies for guiding me through the day
John

Yay! You've finally made it to the forum. Now get to the kasserine pass sub forum and book in!
Regards,
Ralph

Welcome to the forum, glad you enjoyed your first event - it'll be the first of many i'm sure!
willkommen
Great that you made it on here John really good that you enjoyed the game.
Hope to see you ar Kasserine just ask to borrow kit.

Hi John,
Welcome to the forum. We had some good squad action going on our little patrol in the back of the enemy ![]()
Looking forward to see you at the other games.
Cheers
Lutz
Ps: As mentioned I have a full FJ kit to borrow, if you want to come to Kasserine.

If you need any DAK kit for Kasserine I've got a full load out I'll happily loan out.

Welcome to the forums mate, glad we didn't manage to put you off.
While starting out, the kitguides at the top of the page are very useful, whichever faction you plum for, a basic infantry kit is always the best place to start, form there you can modify it into more fancy or elite impressions, don't worry about getting everything spot on though, people will happily lend out spare kit for events.
Glad to have you on board anyway, hopefully I'll see you at a few events
I've fired a bullet on every continent. Nearly hit someone, too.

Thanks all,
The four man suicide mission was one of the coolest moments of that day, i swear at one point some tommy walked right up to us while we were trying to be stealthy in a ditch, epic moment.
Yeah i am super up for Kasserine! but as most of you can guess i have no valid DAK equipment/uniform,
It still surprises me you are all happy to offer kit! thanks so kind considering none of you really know me, compared to normal airsoft the mentality here is so much better. thanks to all,
Are there limited numbers for Kasserine as i see there are squad lists posted?!
John

Was that the suicide mission that came to a quick halt when you came up against us Brits in the treeline? I remember hearing lots of 'sani!' [emoji1]

That's the one yeah, it was only to confuse the american front line into thinking a large offensive was hitting their flank.
And i like to think it sort of work as we won the day lol,
Plus it was funny we killed each other, jousting style but with smg's

Lol I wonder what the odds are on us finding and killing each other in that huge Battlefield. I suppose it had to happen. It was funny considering I only actually thought there were 2 guys in that ditch.

Ralph

Welcome!
Allo allo
and thanks for your help crewing the mountain howitzer ![]()
No problem, being a gun crew member was another really fun part of that day, although it did attract a lot of enemy attention, its ironic in a way that gun shields are designed to protect the gun and not the crew, cant fire the thing if all the crew are dead ![]()
