Morning ladies and gents. Just a very quick message to say hi and thanks for authorising my registration.

I'm an airsoft skirmisher of 3-4 years and the emergence of more and more WW2 airsoft guns keeps getting my interest leaning towards a WW2 loadout. My background is a grandfather and father who both served in the REME and from a very young age have been fascinated by the Commando comics and have played Medal of Honour and Flames of War avidly for (too many) years.

I recently aquired a set of Pattern 44 webbing for a decent price and this has got the ball rolling now. Also I saw how much fun the WW2 bunch had at Redditch a few months ago! I will be slowly aquiring bits and pieces (after all, its not a cheap hobby anyway let alone having Soldier of Fortune being the main stockist! :P ).

Loadout wise I would love to have some kind of British Airborne loudout hopefully with some kind of Sten conversion (will make do with a Thompson for a bit) and I think a looted Luger as these are bit more skirmishable than a revolver. I also have my eyes on a kit that lets you make a Browning .30Cal (air or water cooled) using M14 internals.

Anyhoo, glad to be aboard and glad to see a few names from the ASCUK forum too.

kindest regards,
Mark aka Jabba aka Jabroni.

Welcome, Mark. Have a look at the Brit kit guides (see the bar at the top of the screen) - there are alternative suppliers to SoF! Also, anything you need, why not put a post in the Wanted section - there might be someone wanting to sell stuff off cheap. :good:

Yup... as the man said... you don't need to use SoF for hardly anything... :)

Many thanks gents :good:

I will degfinitely read and digest your collective knowledge on here then ask for advice when I know what I'd like to try as a 1st loadout.

Will have a read to see if anyone has had any dealings with these guys:

I'd like to see if the stuff looks authentic enough.

Thanks all,
Mark.

We have had dealings and a lot of that stuff is good. However we'd need to know what bits in particular you need info on...

One thing you'll find that its usually the case that virtually all suppliers have both good and bad stuff in their catalogues!

Do swing by the PBI sections and see if you like what we do... we're always recruiting!

Will do Gadge. Just considering whether to commit myself to you chaps now seeing as I wont be up and running for a few months yet in terms of Stage 1 Staffs loadout. Will need to shift a few items of modern gear and some of those GW armies that I picked up as staff but will never paint!

But I know Webbie from Airsoft Skirmish and if he's a representative of you ladies and gents then you sound like a brilliant bunch to be a part of.

More importantly my old man will enjoy recounting many REME stories to help me get inspired :P
