Welcome and Merry Christmas

"Will you stop talking about the war!!"
"What, you started it!"
"We did NOT start it!"
"Yes you did, you invaded Poland..."

I've two main themes, Intelligence Corps (FSS) attached to British Airborne and late war Intelligence Corps in the Far East, have got a reasonable basic start in the first and really just looking for a start on the kit for the second.

Harry... I may be able to help you with the second one if you want depending on how late war you're talking. I'm in a Far East re-enactment group that portrays the chindits. I do also airsoft in my Chindit kit.

Thanks for the welcome chaps!

And Yith I'd be really grateful for some guidance, sort of a homage to my father who served with I Corps in the Field Security Service in Malaya and Singapor and got there just after VJ day (much to his relief!) Got photos of him in jungle greens bush hat and 44 patt - any advice on suppliers and sources would be really appreciated. Is it ok to pm you with some more detail at some point.

Harry

Aha... just after VJ day... that explains the 44 pat. It didn't see service during WWII in the far east. It didn't quite make it over there in time.

BTW, there are some fantastic pics of the full 44 pat loadout (it didn't just cover webbing) in the book Khaki Drill and Jungle Green by Brayley.

We tend to do stuff a bit earlier than the 44 pat so its not really my forte, but I will help where I can. Please feel free to pm me.
