Welcome to the forum Stew and to WW2 airsoft! Have you done airsoft or re-enacting before?

what you wanting to portray and do you already have kit for that (from reenacting) that you want to use for airsofting ? thats a good place to start. Then you'll need a airsoft weapon, pretty much it.

Theres an event in two weeks (gawd is that all  ) though you'd have to look at the Churchills Event listing to see whats what, think theres still places for allies, failing that theres other events listed for future dates ;) The lads on here will put you on the right track either way :D and am sure one of them must live near you and would be willing to take you to an open day should you want to get a feel for airsofting.

well there are 34 people in Midlands, 4 in South West, so there should be someone relatively near to you. I'm up North flitting between West and East Yorkshire. There are a few Brits here but a rather large number of wormact and waffling ss  there are also a lot of sceptics as well. As to weapons theres shoot n scoot if you have wads of cash, and cheaper options with Tokyo Marui and the Chinese 'clones'.

Stew, there are no formal units/groups as such (well there are a GrossDeutschland and a Hohenstoffen group) but not formal groups like reenactment units that you'll be used to. Its a more informal grouping of likeminded folk (have I got that right everyone?) Gadge on the forum does South Staffords as he was a Staffie, although he also does German too-just mention him as he happens to be in the Midlands.

theres not really web addresses sawbones, everyone tends to communicate on here.

post in the Allied disscusion forum, you will get some replys, and arrange some link ups,

the GLORIOUS GERMAN ARMY HAVE TRAINING DAYS,

the allied T.W.E.R.P.S are trying to arrange one,

if you cant get on one before, goto churhhills revenge. even without kit, you could take a look around and meet people, and get a "feel" for what happens

hope this helps

Hey, I'm currently in Oxford (was only just in Banbury this afternoon at the VMCC rally). Will be moving to Banbury for more permanent residence soon. Unfortunatly Oxfordshire hasn't got and 'local' airsoft sites (Nearest is Finmere (sp?)), and the nearest place thart does dedicated WW2 games every now and then is Gunman Airsoft in Suffolk/Cambridgeshire (My "local" site).

A Proud Member Of 'Team Spleen!' who play mainly at Gunman Airsoft, Tuddenham, Suffolk.

Hi Stew

Welcome on board - I'm new to airsoft too and am loving it so far - the forum is great. As AG says, there are a couple of German 'units' forming - don't know about the Allies - the recent training day was really informative and great fun. Another one is planned for late August, to include Allies as well. Enjoy - :D
