Hi guys!

I haven't been airsofting for very long, but I'm starting to lose interest in all this modern stuff. (EVERYONE has an M4 or some other Armalite!) Then I was reading my Ai when I came across the article on the D-Day game, and decided that this was definitely interesting, since I've wanted an excuse to use WW2 gear without joining a re-enactment group. I'm not decided on what army to emulate, does anyone have any suggestions for a begginer's loadout?

Cheers!

Hi Motherplucker - welcome to CiA.

As for impressions - well there lot's to choose from, you may wish to review the reference section at the top of the forum as this lists 'modern' trousers/jackets etc that you may have and can be used until you feel you want to get a 'full on' WW2 impression or two together.

If you cant find out something you want to know, just ask - someone will point you in the right direction.

Also we have 'supplier-member's' who are currently doing uniform deals at very good prices.

Glad to see that the article in AI-Mag has pointed you to the 'right' place away from the Armalites

Good man, and welcome to the forum. :D

So far, the uniform deals are only for the Germans, but they're amazing value - I wish they'd been around when I started! For something different, try playing as yanks...

Hi and welcome,

I am new on here myself, and these guys really make you feel welcome.

If you want German Kit ( you should do it's really gucci ) and it looks cool too, you can try Barrylyndon on ebay he is cheap and he will do you a deal, I have bought a lot of kit from him for my self, as I also do re-eactment SS Fallschirmjager (Paratroopers).

Cheers
Rob

There are lots of places cheaper than SoF! Check out the recommended sources for each kit on the forum.

Choice of loadout represented here:

American - Airborne, Infantry, Ranger, Marine?
Brit - Airbourne, Commando, Infantry
German - Army (Heer), Waffen SS, Para (Fallschirmjager)

As Kavster hinted, we are needing some more US troops at the moment, but don't let that influence your decision. :)

You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier

No worries mate, after looking at some of the suppliers on your kit guides I think I'll go with the US Infantry load out. Will garand pouches fit M14 mags does anyone know? Or should I look for bar sized mag pouches?

Hi,

For an M14 use a BAR Belt.
