Hi, All I am pretty new to airsofting and have had a couple of games so far [NAE 2014 being one of them] I am based in Cornwall and was inroduced to airsofting by my fellow cornishman Rich [breadfish on here] who also told me about this forum.
I am trying to find my ww2 loadout to be german infantyman or whichever would be best for an mp40/iconic german helmet style that is used in most situations but also like camo colours lol. I have an mp40 but not much else although I have got some items I found at the NAE so got carried away as they are more for the afrikan core :slap: but its a basic start. any help is much appreciated thanks in advance. :D

cheers Phil.

hello and welcome
the kit guide is good and starting off with basic wool field grey Heer (infantry)uniform is definitely the best way to go , then you can add bit's to it to change to airborne(FJ) ,mountain(GJ) or SS to suit the game but Heer will see most use .

Welcome Phil. Here's the most recent kit guide on German Heer (army). http://www.ww2airsoft.org.uk/so-you-wanna-do-german/

I would recommend asking before you buy anything. The Heer did not make use of much camo, other than using their Zeltbahn - however, you'll soon appreciate the beauty of the fieldgrey uniform!

Welcome to the Forum :good:

You've made a solid choice, generic Germany Army (Heer) infantry is far and away the most ubiquitous load-out you can own and it's easy to build on to make more exotic impressions from there. There's a basic kitguide and the more in depth guide that Steiner has linked which I found very useful starting out on the Kit Guides section, the only thing I will say is that these were written a while ago so it might be worth asking the old sweats what retailers you should use now, some might have gone up or down in quality, new ones have popped up, others have dropped off the map, whatever you're buying don' be afraid to ask, there's plenty of experience on here and you don't want to go paying more than you have to.
For a helmet either an M35 or M40 model with a single (eagle) decal seems to be the most ubiquitous (although that's a relative term). The 'in-depth' guide has a section on helmets and there's an article dedicated specifically to German helmets too if you want more reading material. :)

Anyways, good to have you here, we always need more Heer. :D

I've fired a bullet on every continent. Nearly hit someone, too.

Hello and welcome,

as above generic Heer is pretty much a guarantee of a game. Easy enough to bodge into other impressions too.

Cheers

Hello and welcome. The Normandy game should not be too far for you. They are putting together two squads of German infantry. Want to join? I signed already.

Thanks for the welcome fellow Cornish NaughtyPartisanAnn I see their is quite a few of us here from this neck of the woods :) I am relatively new to airsofting myself . My modern loadout is based on Russian VDV with an ak variant weapon and I wear partisan medusa camo (based on the ww2 German oakleaf which is nice but sadly not cut the same as that would be useful lol) I thought getting Russian gear was expensive lol. I have some gear for my ww2 axis loadout but still have a long way to go before it is all sorted but Rome wasn't built in a day.

Both myself and my husband Dave have got allied loadouts at the moment, with a view to getting some German kit as an alternative. My loadout is based on a British Jedburgh team member, and Dave's is 82nd Airborne.
