Greetings all I am Crotem better known as Craig - some of you may or may not know me from the Phoenix Airsoft Forum's.

Came across this fine website and WW2 airsoft thanks mainly to Chomley-Warner and Sgt Gadge as well as a dozen spectacular photos and video's from previous events.

Some of you will be pleased to know I intend to join the cause of the Reich - MP40's and Stahlhelm's have always appealed for some reason.

Anyway's i'll shut up now :D

Yup welcome if you're interested in the German side of things we have some ss soldaten and a fine wehrmacht team starting to form, speak to Steiner about the Gross Deutschland, me or Sgt Heide about the Hohenstaufen, or if you prefer we even have some guys forming a tank crew and you'd need to talk to Tiny or Porta about that. Enjoy the forum, there's some real nice people here.

Very kind offer Gadge but unfortunately lacking two things;

1) Finances (well I doubt they'll accept bits of paper with "£5" written on them when I make the plunge and get my German kit and MP40!)

2) Motorised transport (unless the British public transport system actually runs a reliable service to where I need to go).

Many thanks to all for the kind words, hopefully i'll be sorted before the end of the year with some "jerry clobber" as the cockney fella in Band of Brothers said.

Training day is that training, am sure if you can get yourself to the location (not far away from you I don't think) you could have a look at the kit available both clothing and weapons and have a go with them. Beats shopping online with no idea maybes ?
Must have some scruffs you could wear for the day ? least that way you'd get a very tame idea of what its like rather than feet first like me at the last event (and others :lol: ) was great tho :twisted:

Currently tempted by the Waffen SS loadout as shown on the website... that Oakleaf pattern has always interested me and following that guide would make life easier, but i'm treading carefully as I don't want to get something and offend somebody!

Then again it would be more satisfying to get a nice collection of reading material so i'll actually learn something! I blame GCSE history - I almost cried when I was told I was going to learn about the Chinese revolution, The great depression and civil rights. They wonder why us "young 'un's" know nothing about our history!

At present I know i'm going to get a AGM MP40, a few magazines and some pouches - i've wanted a MP40 since I first saw one when watching a war film when I was a wee nipper (unfortunately I don't recall the name of the film - it was a old film and in colour though)

I meant more in making a mistake with a impression and thus offending the more experienced participants through my ignorance of history, i'm smart enough not to come absolutely covered in swastikas!

No ones going to mind, we use a counts as system so 'look a like' wwii is cool.

For those that want to take it to 'accurate' level, plenty of folks wiht a wealth of knowledge to give you advice.

Off the top of my head, Kermit and Stubblehopper, Poacher and Major know a lot about German kit.
