Hello everyone, I have registered for the forum about a year ago, but been more of an observer rather than a contributor, thought it was time to finally introduce myself.
My name is Val, I'm an existing re-enactor turned airsofter - quite a few of you have met me already; in Jedburg (probably I was the only one in whole airsoft history not to fire a single BB over two days). I have also participated Sea Lion, Operation Shingle etc.
I am based in London, and as you can imagine some games are further than others. I also play cold war style games at gunman with Josh or against him. Always playing for the reds (couldn't have imagined 25 years ago I'll be playing soldiers in the future after serving in the Soviet army).
See you on the battlefield,
Evaldas
Welcome to the forum Val! You were the unluckiest man in the world at Jedburgh, you missed all of the firefights by about 5 minutes!

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
Hi Val, posted at last!
It must have been a bit of a shock playing in an 'airsoft' game where airsoft barely featured! Most people who enjoy the CiA gamestyle have left the shooty-shooty world of airsoft and are looking for something more mentally challenging where its in the head not necessarily on the trigger. So you weren't unlucky, indeed in real terms you would have been the person to survive the war, and therefore very lucky! (And you probably weren't the only person not to have fired a shot!)
Anyway, I'm glad you get to games, so many on this forum don't. The genre needs active players, so good on you. If you are going to Border Clash I'll see you there, if not later in the year perhaps.

Hi Val, how's life?
It must be said that you were a most effective "area denial" weapon at Jed - the opposition seemed to spend as much time as possible avoiding you! ![]()

Hey Val - had a beer with you at Sealion.

You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
Welcome aboard! Hope I get to meet you in person at a future game.
Welcome Val, nice to see you on here at last.
How is the leg? You were sorely missed at cold war.
I should see you at border clash, even if you are on the wrong side this time. ![]()

Thanks guys for the welcome, it's a pleasure knowing you lot.
Richard - Even having one and a half leg, I'll be there !
