Most basic uniforms cost between £150-£200 my British Para loadout looks like it might rise to around £300 tho and then its still not 100% authentic lol (ie Helmet, Trousers, Boots) but as long as it looks the part then its fine.
Yer im glad that there is a WW2 game every few moths it builds the exsitement also i love how you know everyone who goes to them either from the forums or meeting them before
Hi 101, for basic Heer grunt all you'll need are collar tabs (yes, those look great), enlisted man's breast eagle, and shoulderboards (the tunic may come with s/boards included) - fieldgrey colour for an M40. The colour of piping denotes what sort of unit - most of us have white for infantry.
Mag pouches (as with any item) you might find slightly cheaper on ebay. But put a post in Wanted - well worth a go.

You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
Heer would not use those - they would have the pair of triple mags.

You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
what was the minimum recruitment age for the heer
The draft age was 17 but many Hitler Youth leaders encouraged their older charges to lie about their age and enlist..
This shows you all the Heer kit, where it goes and how it fits 101.

Sorry about the model, it's all that was available at the time...

Its British BCH boots you want to look for (Boots Combat High) which you might find in your local army surplus shop/depot (rather than pay a fortune for postage).

Yep they are the ones.

£9.99 for those are a good price
I think I paid only a penny more for my pair
Tricky things, boots. I've found that aching or uncomfortable feet ruins a day or weekend. My expensive Magnums are sheer bliss - I've worn them for a solid 24hrs gaming without a break and still had a spring in my step at the end (although the rest of my body had fallen apart!). No question that modern boots are the safest and most comfortable way to go.
You have them already - no need to buy any more boots!
However, they don't look 'right' and they are usually too padded to put gaitors round and if you can they look silly. So, if it matters to you then a cheap alternative are used military boots. DMS boots cut down look OK but they are certainly not anywhere near the comfort of modern boots, even stuffed with thick insoles and worn with thick or doubled socks. (Although someone is bound to post that they can wear them for 365 days solid with no problem, just you see.)
Personally, I wear jackboots but can only stand them for 6hrs max before ripping them off, changing socks and putting on ex-German army assault boots. Better constructed that British boots, some padding where it matters and supple leather. Pop gaitors on and they look fine.
Conclusion? Look after your feet before considering what they look like (most of the time in battle you can't see feet anyway).
Edit: BTW, you might find current issue assault boots more comfy than DMS - and since neither DMS nor assault boots look exactly like 'proper' low boots I wouldn't worry a great deal...

(Although someone is bound to post that they can wear them for 365 days solid with no problem, just you see.)
That will be me then

I really do wear British high combat boots everyday, I am a diabetic and have problems with my feet, since wearing my first new pair I have to say they are so comfy and keep my feet warm, to play I wear German para boots and they are the dogs dangly bits but to clumpy for around the place, so see chommers yes we do ![]()
Yeah i'm another BCH everyday
I wear BCH at work every day (well, every day I'm there!), as well as for 12 years in the army and, with good insoles, they're every bit as good (if not better) as any magnums/para boots/carlos fandangoes or anything else and I should know, having owned them all! I took the insoles out of my Oakley assault boots and they are fantastic.

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
Heh, you are a rotten lot - 101 is going to go and spend money he doesn't need to now
101 - when getting your kit together work in a system of priority. Headwear, jacket, webbing, trousers, boots - don't spend cash where you don't need to (unless you are rich). In other words - save £10 on boots and spend it on trousers, if you don't have the cash for trousers then use something that looks OK and spend the money on webbing instead. And so on - please, please don't think you have to get all the 'right' kit to play - you don't.

So people won't be angry or laugh at me if I don't turn up in the right kit?
OMG no. No, no, no.
Please, please take care! Far too many people collect kit and never turn up to play. WW2 airsoft isn't about the kit, it's about playing the game and it's very different to your normal skirmish. We want people to play airsoft not gather a wardrobe full of dressing up kit. If you are short of cash then save for the game fees, left over money can buy kit. (Read this: http://www.ww2airsoft.org.uk/pages/kit-german.html - just noticed the page is a bit broken, I'll fix it sometime!)

Contents of email I send out to new forum members when I remember:
WW2 Airsoft is exactly what it says on the tin. Airsoft in WW2 type clothing and equipment. However, that does not that mean you have to go out and spend £400 on all the equipment all at once before you can get out on the WW2 skirmish battlefield.
At CiA events players choose their own level of kit realism - which can be from the simple "counts as" system right up to a 100% accurate reproduction of clothing and equipment from the period. A pair of brown overalls and a cheapsoft gun is all you need to get going. It's up to you to choose what level you want to start at, and not up to others to tell you what you should be wearing. Remember, this is Airsoft, so lining the enemy up in your sights, and playing for the whole day is at the heart of the experience.
And don't worry about coming on your own - the WW2 community is friendly and inclusive. It won't be many minutes before you are at the front line, shoulder to shoulder with the most battle hardened! Some players choose to join groups (you may see banners on their forum signatures) but there is nothing wrong with being your own man - be a team player and that's all that matters.
If you want a taste of the fantastic experience players get out of attending CiA events, just head to the forum and take a look around, or visit the CiA web site. You'll soon see what you're missing out on!
Make sure you check out the dates for the next CiA game and get booked in, regardless of what kit you have, you'll have a great time and will soon catch the WW2 Airsoft bug!

I too wear CBH every day. Only decent boots that I can find to fit my large feet.

101 - forget boots, the ones you have are fine.
Arguments with mums - difficult. IMHO 'how would granddad would feel' is a weak point - just look at the number of vets who go to shows or indeed are friends with the old enemy. If the argument is on that sort of level then explain that the Heer (that you want to do) were the good Germans, it's a good a simplistic answer as any.
Bottom line, you can't win arguments with mums. Make sure Dad is up to speed and with you and use the lever of two against one.
Even lower bottom line, Dads don't win arguments with Mums either
You might have to compromise, or take things much slower (Mums are very wary of teenager fads, heh, Dads are too - that's life!)
Of course, if all fails then nowt wrong with Yanks or Brits, indeed Brits could do with some more players.
Get your Dad fired up to go to In the Pocket in September - it's a one day game and will give you a good idea of what's what. Nothing like talking to people face to face and asking questions and seeing kit first hand rather than a tiny web site photo...

I hear from good authority that he has gone the whole hog ![]()
Like me getting kit, I have some but I am waiting for Husky to see all the guys loaded out before I spend anymore, so much to learn and me being Welsh it hurts my head ![]()
