Thankyou for the heads up yith. I will get the beret off soldier of fortune then (I am guessing it is the one called WW2 Airborne Beret...in red)

It's called "WW2 Airborne Beret", is code "BE565" and has description "WW2 pattern airborne beret with large crown, leather band and 2 metal air vents on the side. "

Could someone tell me what size size 7 is(for the beret)? I have a 22inch head and want to know if it will fit.

To get a size, take the circumference of your head in inches.. (I assume thats what the 22" is...) then divide by Pi...(3.14159) to get the diameter... that's your imperial hat size...

So for you imperial size 7 is what you want or 56cm (actually the circumference) in metric

BTW,they are a bit adjustable with some ties at the back..

Once again thanks yith (I think I will have to go with replicators denison smock because I cannot afford it anywhere else)

dieselmonkey has a replicaters denison in the For Sale section... go and check it out before he puts it on ebay!

A set of denims: "British Army World War two (ww2,wwii) uniform Two-Piece Denim Overalls (jackets and Trousers):" would make more sense as they were worn by infantry in hot climates.

Brown for early war, grey green for late... or look out for real post-war ones being sold... on here and ebay... I picked up a jacket for £15 ish

Talk to dieselmonkey again, I understand he's had some good luck with these recently.

101 - if you want to save money forget the BD blouse and trousers (of any description).
The Denison will cover what you a wearing on top anyway and a pair of brown trousers from your army surplus store will do fine.

Beret, denison and period webbing will give you the iconic look and is more than sufficient. An original belt, straps and ammo pouches will cost not a lot. Job is done then.

Hello Matt, and welcome. All you have to do is adhere to the basic kit and weapon standard - look under the Reference heading at the top of the page. A lot of the discussion on here is from those of us who want to take it further, and spend more time and effort (and money!) on kit - we do NOT require that new players have anything but the minimum kit, so don't feel you've got to go and spend 100s of pounds before you can play - you haven't! :)

If you do decide you want to get more kitwise, then have a look at the Kit guides - at the top of the page again. For anything you do want, it's always worth posting in the Wanted section, because people are buying and exchanging stuff on here all the time.

And feel free to start your own Introductory thread, and tell us about yourself. :good:

As you say, what's the point in spending £50 or more on something that isn't accurate, when you have good repros for £99. The full-zip version was only worn by officers, if I recall correctly. Half-zip much more common.

As stenier says, get the SoF half zip version. Unless you have mega bucks its not worth bothering elsewhere.

Hi guys, it's me again, 2 years have passed and I'm back :L. Patiently waiting until I am 18 and can play with you lot.

You could already be playing alongside quite a few CiA forum members at Gunman Airsoft's many WW2 events. You can play from the age of 13 (accompanied by an adult), or 15 - 17 years old with parental permission :good:
