A big hello from sunny Northampton.

I have just started Airsofting at Finmere.

Have been re-enacting for many years and have plenty of 'loadouts'.
Brit Med/Africa, Brit ETO, ANZAC, Heer, Panzer & Volkssturm etc. etc.

Is there anybody out there portraying Italians?
I have kit for:-
Blackshirt Infantry North Africa
Italian SS
Black Brigade

Unfortunately no Italian weaponary (apart from a de-ac MAB) so am using 8mm Mauser, MP40,
P38 & Broomhandle Mauser Carbine.

Anybody else out there feel the lure of Italian camo and a bottle of vino?

Avanti!

V.

Hi, welcome to the forum! Italian is a new one for most of us here, so you'll have to educate us a bit :)

Hi and welcome, I thought about doing an Italian para impression a while back after spotting some post war Italian camo overalls on fleabay. I did a bit of research but didn`t go any further with the idea :)

Closest I've got to the first part of that was some Italian Camo trousers to go with a 12th SS impression, the second part? Well, most of us here are well acquainted with large quantities of Vino

Mmmmmmm Para! Folgore or Nembo? They acted as divisional scouts for the Fallschirmjager units in Russia - awesome crazy dudes!

The guys from Hong Kong do some great Italian Para kit, in both colours - check out the para smock on pegasus militaria. The only drawback would be getting a para helmet - the saying 'hen's teerh' comes to mind here.

Also possible would be the Decima MAS from the RSI period - late '43 onwards.

I'll try and get some photos of the kit posted.

I did some research on folgore, nembo and decima mas, as you say the helmet is rare, I tried fleabay Italy and found a couple, but quite pricey. Be interesting to see some kit pics as I relied mostly on the Osprey books and pics of 1/6 action figures :)

That's the plan, on an event I can battle with the Germans during the first half (C'ause their kit is just so Gucci) and swap over to the allied side when things start going Pete Tong!

Back on topic though, the majority of my kit is post September 1943, the RSI period.

Can't wait to attend an airsofting event on the Axis side though.
