I really enjoyed this event. It was a simple gameplan and it led to lots of thinking on our feet and, the same as Schaulen, lots of unpredictability. I really had no idea where the Germans were and it resulted in some very tense moments, even as an organiser! The almost constant harrying by diehard rearguard Germans certainly put my brain and squad into overtime - my cup of tea was rudely interrupted at one point, most inconsiderate of you Guy!
My Brit's had a good time and, they played well together (except for Sandy!). Many of them aren't regulars on the forum but, they told me they really enjoyed themselves and, were keen to know when the next event would be.
Sandy was a pain in the arse though (although not as bad as at Oddball's game, by all accounts). He had no webbing or means of carrying kit whatsoever, broke the Thompson I sold him almost immediately (then demanded I fix it for him) and, expected fellow players to drag kit from regen's as we moved forward.
I liked the site, lots of variety and the site operators are very nice blokes too. Once again, it was a pleasure to work with you guys, it proved we've still got it!

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
Yes the event was "average / good" to me . it was not a Jedburgh or Wotan , too airsofty if that makes sense .
Both sides seemed pretty reasonable in terms of spirit and gameplay , some of the newer lads coming through are good although in the afternoon I was wincing as the obviously "I'm emptying a full mag at this bush" behaviour. On the German side there was a lot of enthusiam but not a lot of tactical fire and movement from the newbs, although they did take to instruction in the field !
Sandy - frankly I'd return his deposit in future on the grounds of he's a fat pain in the arse/ special needs kid /no proper kit / not made of suitable stuff. He can go fuck up Josh's events
As discussed on the evening , day woodland games are all over for me . Too little time to really get into the mood, too much faffing around organising people for 6-7 hours of play. Day games for urban only I reckon or something special like Horne .
Agreed on the day game, although I had good fun too.
The airborne newbies were a good laugh and keen but need to get used to the WW2 airsoft way of things - too much bumbling and sitting behind trees trading shots. Marsha and Rich were really good though and kept the infantry chaps organised and on their toes.
All in all a good event none the less and enjoyed by all.
