I’ve found the collar tabs on eBay if anyone is wanting to go into that much detail:
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 2891013435
I’ve bought some, as well as shoulder titles, modern Air Force (grey) beret and the correct metal beret badge.
When it’s all arrived I’ll get a picture!

I know you've already bought the beret, but i would have advised against going with a modern one as they are smaller in dimensions to their predecessors of the period. (and in my opinion the world is a little less brighter without them. :() nothing beats a lovley floppy beret. :ghey:
Off the top of my head I do believe SoF do a WW2 Polish para beret.

I deliberately bought an oversized beret as modern ones are smaller.

You chaps very much look the part!

Unless I can find a good deal on a Denison I'll probably have had to have lost mine crossing from Driel

Can lend you my denison if you want. I'll be on the dark side for this game so won't need it

Yes, happy days. It will be great to see you guys again.

I'll be reprising my role as mighty Luftwaffe Field Div, last seen in Eagles over the Rhine :good:

Hopefully will be joining the 1st Para brigade for the Saturday!

I've only got my heer impression together recently and apart from a Sten I have nothing I could use for this 1st para impression- any pointers to any cheap Denison smocks, trousers etc?

Also would be great help if anyone has any kit they can lend

Thanks

Bart

Josh has a load of Belgian Denisons and I think 37 Patt
Modern Polish Air Force berets are about £5 on eBay but the badge should be replaced with a metal one of a slightly different style - £10 shipped from Poland
37 Patt also comes up cheaply on eBay I’d you start now you’ll have a fulls eat cheaply by February

Instead of a full set of 37 Patt webbing, you could find a Sten bandolier ( https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 2547187026) and I’ll lend you a belt
Looking at pictures from Oosterbeek a lot of soldiers ditch all but bandolier towards the end

If you've got a smock, you can just shove stuff in the pockets. Smocks are great.

Josh has got at least one set of 37 pattern as I gave it to him.

OK, to tidy it up a bit it looks like we have 8 of us:

POLISH Paratroopers

Stuart Howes
Craig A
Dean A
Ranjit Ph
Andy
Charlie B
Bart Ojrzynski
fremsley

unless anyone knows of anyone else who intended to enlist with us but found themselves deployed in the Mongolian Command Cavalry unit or something.

There is an oval coth patch for the beret which is also correct but for the life of me I can't remember where we got them.

It seems there are a couple of variations
But with all Free Polish photos, there are always some guys who are completely out of Regs!

Can anyone suggest any cheap(er) alternatives to repro BD trousers?

As with all these things, it depends how fussy you are.

This is airsoft, not reenactment, so a pair of baggy brown or green trousers? If you've got a smock, hat and webbing no-one is going to pay much attention to your trousers at an ops weekend.

Perfect, just ordered some. After getting a denison, bandolier & beret the budget was a little slim but they will do
