Seeing as i couldn't be there this wkend, it would be great to hear all about it. Hope the weather wasn't too cold and wet.
I don't think they had the snow they yearned for, hope all had a good time though gutted I couldn't be there, and more so as I had the honour (should read dishonour) of having a friend of No1 over and driven near distraction.

Great day, tired wet and still cold
best bit was the allied assault over the bridge after dinner , most of them going waist deep in slime as they left the bridge, whilst del hosed them all the way with a `42
i tripped up, and fell over the side and out of the bunker, and rolled down the hill halfway, just as the attack started and i got killed before i could get a round off, so i captured it all on video instead
ill post the bridge demolition shots soon

had aN epic time! Thanks to all cia and f&o chaps!
I was one of the bridge assault team who went up to their waists in sludge, thankfully by which point del's galliant efforts at keeping us at bay was cut short by then!
My mate Iain's baptism into not only ww2 but aslso Airsoft went down a storm, thanks to everyone for making him welcome! Let's see how long it takes him to get involved! Hehe!
Comiserations to pete 'peat bog' grice for quite literally getting up to his shoulders in sludge!
Great game, happy days!
Sounds and looked like an awesome game. The pyro is getting bigger too. So im guessing you guys got wet from crossing the river? How was the temperature?
Looking awesome Del Gutted I missed it. the important question is did the germans win?

and thanks to the CIA boys for our free grenades too!
Just got out of an hour long soak in the bath and am still totally knackered! I'll post my comments tomorrow. Meanwhile, here are some pictures (the only ones I got!).
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
Well, I've just got back (yup, on Monday - not the day I left the site!) due to a sod-off sized accident on the M6, then another on the M4
Once again, a pleasure to share an Airsoft site with you ugly lot

Now we're a country we're run by a..........
Looks blimmin' excellent guys. Porta's video of the bridge pyro had my jaw hitting the floor...
Fantastic day, thanks to all the CIA.
Food in the field was excellent, a nice touch that helped with the atmosphere.

due to a sod-off sized accident on the M6
That was about 2 miles from my house, and I was sat in it too! There was an accident northbound, and somebody had an accident going southbound because they were rubbernecking!
5 hour drive back (and up) for us too - I'm assuming you also got stuck on the M6 ?
It was a great site, with lots of varied terrain, much of it soggy! Special thanks to the F&O boys, who were very friendly and helpful, and made us a lovely stew for lunch. Eating in-game was a great idea, saving time, and keeping the atmosphere of the game on track. We started off meeting some British resistance, which we overcame by some good fire 'n manœuver / outflanking tactics, and quickly captured two defensive positions, overlooking the first river. From that adrenaline rush, things slowed down for me, as I took my turn to defend our positions against any counterattacks, which didn't happen until a few hours later. Right from the start, I had weapon problems - I brought 3 charged-up batteries, and for the second time, only one worked - so I'm thinking the other two are definitely dead ducks. Then the loose connection in my MP40 reared its ugly head again, but I sorted that. Finally, the really annoying problem which plagued me all day long - for some unknown reason, my MP40 mags repeatedly kept failing to engage properly in my Fire Support upgraded gun. I can't understand this, since it worked fine at the training day, but I spent most of the day shooting air instead of BBs - it really was immensely frustrating. In addition, I don't think I managed to hit a single person all day - despite the reasonable range of my gun, I always seemed to be outranged by my opponents.
A short foray across the river by about 10 Hohenstaufen men was quickly snuffed out by 2-pronged attack by some Americans and what appeared to be the entire British contingent, and we were forced to retreat back to our positions over the river.
The site was huge, but apart from the last 2 hours, we were mostly bogged down behind this river, unable to make any headway against the Americans who were in good cover, despite repeated attempts. Pete, Stu and myself managed to find a secret way across the river in the centre, and Pete nicked three fuel cans, which we passed on to Chris. I have to say that the terrain we went through to do this mission was the hardest I have ever encountered, with no exaggeration: mud, water and fallen trees, on a steep gradient. Stu managed to get wet up to his waist in the process. So, imagine our feelings, when having passed the fuel cans to Chris for him to take them to our CP, we discovered that the Americans had already crossed the river in force, shooting Chris, taking our CP and recapturing the fuel.
Soon afterwards, the Americans disappeared, and our scratch force of about 10 men, led by Kermit, crossed the stone bridge (which was a challenge in itself, even when not under fire!) and made our way along by the wall, where we met up with Guy and his platoon. The decision was taken to attack the bridge and hold it until the end. Unfortunately, we could not hold out forever against persistent Allied counterattacks, and we were forced to withdraw. Despite getting fairly close, we did not manage to retake the bridge over the Meuse (although Tony somehow managed to cross the river!! ), before it was blown sky-high at the end.
I have to say hats off to the Americans who fought most doggedly, and many thanks to the organisers as always, for their hard work.
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
Had a lot of fun yesterday... I'm now totally worn out!
Great working with the rest of the Brits as usual. We worked well as a team again and managed to stick together as a cohesive force for a good proportion of the day.
There were lots of highlights for me. But the most fun was playing pinball through the trees with mortar rounds. I didn't think there was a hope of us hitting anything, but I understand we did get 4 Germans with one round!
