i dont mind the snow, i dont mind the rain, what worries me is if its really cold, it shortens the life of batteries, ( been working outside for most of my life, the winter is pants for makita tool batts) . my tool batteries that can go 2-3 days without charging and thats with heavy use, in winter it can be half that or less. AEG batteries are not heavy duty, but i hope it wont be a problem.

Shouldn't be a problem - not at usual WW2 ammo usage rates. It pays to have a spare battery in your pocket though, it's good practise anyway!

I will have a load of batteries charged and some guns for those in dire need, if I lend a battery out all I want is yours in exchange until I get mine back :) plus I will have a charger in the car :)

That's odd... I agree that metcheck is reporting snow, but I can only see rain on the others.

For me Met check and met office both say snow, uk weather says snow/rain. Only the BBc seem to think its definetly rain.

Roll on the snow I say! Now where did I put that sheet? :D

I watched the lastest BBC news forecast which mentioned snow on higher ground and to the north.

Thing is there's a low-pressure wet weather system coming in on Saturday from the west which is going to meet the high pressure cold air system that we have over the country at the moment. They're predicting that as the low pressure moves over the country it will then shift the winds into northerlies which could turn all that rain into snow.

It all just depends on what the person predicting thinks is going to happen to the direction of the low pressure system when it hits the uk and whether the wind will become northerly, which isn't an exact science.
