[Sticky] Game rules
Bolt action rifle - unlimited (this is the only weapon we will allow speed loader reloading in game if you have limited magazines).
Sub machine gun or semi auto rifle - 200 rounds per life. Hi cap magazines should be fired on semi auto only.
Support gun – 1000 rounds per life, will normal expect to be deployed to fire, however MG's, Bar's and Brens may be fired from the hip when moving providing the shots are not aimed and short bursts only. This is to allow suppressing fire while attacking and to negate the near uselessness of the weapon when moving through wooded terrain. Please do not abuse.
No speedloader reloading in the field (exception see bolt actions above), any reloading must be done by hand unless at a regen point or directed by your officer.
Maximum of 4 grenades per life
Grenades 5 metre kill radius – only hard cover (building/trench etc) counts as cover.
Mortar/Artillery round 10 metre kill radius - only hard cover (building/trench etc) counts as cover.
Mines and booby traps 5 metre kill radius.
Please do not run from grenades and try not to fixate on your front, if something goes bang behind you its probably a grenade or shell, take a quick look and take the kill.
Smoke rounds and grenades count as live rounds and will kill as above.
Hits count on any part of the body, kit or weapon. Ricochet's do not count but as always if in doubt take the hit.
No medics, No bandages if you are hit then you lay where you were shot, regen will be as follows:
Attackers - Your squad leader may at his discretion give you a shot of morphine and put you back into the fight. Otherwise lay dead until you hear your commander call out "2nd wave form on me" this is the signal to get up and regen on your squad leader.
Defenders - Your squad leader may at his discretion give you a shot of morphine and put you back into the fight. Otherwise lay dead for a few minutes then fall back to the rally point (regen flag) and regen. To assist game flow squad leaders may limit regen.
This style of regen may be familiar to players at the Merville event, it is designed to help squad cohesion, just follow your squad leaders instructions.
Everyone must stick with there squad and follow orders but as this is not a large site we would ask for attackers not to get carried away and chase the beaten foe all the way back to Berlin. The Siegfried line is a defence in depth but you need to give the enemy time to regen and get into position in the next defensive line. Listen out for the "Hold and consolidate" order from your squad leaders.
Above all don't be a cock! enjoy the event but make sure everyone else around you does as well
A question, is the administering a shot of morphine to a wounded soldier a physical act (i.e. does someone have to go to them?), and if so can the person administering the morphine (i.e. the medic) be targeted by the opposing team ?
Yes and yes, the CO (or medic if your leader has appointed one) will need to go to the wounded soldier and administer the morphine directly by placing a hand on them. Only designated individuals can do this, not every man in a section.
