Would it be alright to use my sten as a backup just incase anything happens to the MP40??

I will be bringing all my guns to this event (Thompson, Grease Gun, MP40 and Garand) so always a spare kicking around

This does concern me slightly 
I'll be bringing an SRC MP40 which I haven't skirmished before, so if it is buggy will i be able to pickup a rental on the day ?
