Lovely Saturday torrential downpour on sunday morning but then cleared up for some good skirmishing to be had by those who braved the storm in ponchos and zelts

The legend that is Barrie...

Other things... there were 21 players new to WW2 airsoft there - great effort with the kit guys, and I hope you all liked the game and the community enough to want to do it again. :) Thank you to all the people who helped out - you know who you are. My favourite image - this morning, trying to clear the Americans out of the Village - Lardy advancing to the fray with a pistol and a bayonet! Webby, would you like to talk us through that bayonet kill he did on you...?

Loving the pictures, it was worth braving the rain today, some great gameplay even with the fewer numbers. As one of the 21 first time ww2 gamers i would like to again say a big thanks to everyone the friendly banter and great sportmanship made the weekend a fantastic event, have no fear this will not be my last ww2 game. :D

p.s Those of us who played through the rain should get a medal hehe

Yep getting webby has to be my high point.
I crept through the trees to try and outflank the allies and found myself in the their CP so I thought I'd better not hang around. was creepy back when I spotted webby walking away from me and just thought, right, bayonet time. I went to following him but had to cross the road where I ran into 3 yanks, fortunately 2 were dead and I bang killed the 3rd which he took gratiously (since he had a Tanaka aimed at him from 5m who wouldn't  ). I then crossed the road and crept up behind webby who was gazing at the other germans down the road before slippying onto my arse just out of bayonet reach. In nearly sound bang then but he didn't notice so stood up, proded him with my bayonet and said "stabby". Webby turned round and took the hit before being caught by a burst from the other Germans who also managed to get me so we sat there and watched 2/3ds of the allied team run past and ignore us before Tom finally came and bandaged us both, capturing Webby who convienently forgot his intel. :raspberry:

Bang killing Anne was also funny as she jumped about 6ft in the air.

We'll see. I don't know how you didn't hear me since I fell on my arse right behind you.
I think half the german team want one now so you'd better be careful.

its ok I avenged you webby by bang killing lardy in the fight to take back the american camp hehe

I wandered into the firefight with my white flag and someone called out for me to halt or be shot. he was then promptly shot so I carried on in. Most of the germans inside were killed apart from lard so I walked near him to try and get the allies attention to show he was there as 9 of them were about to charge past his position and get shot. He couldnt call me over for capture without giving himself away so he sat there grinning as he was about to butcher the people charing past.

as he glanced at them I whipped out my pistol and banged him :D

I have no idea who won or who was winning for most of the day but looking back I'd guess allies did since the SAS seemed to achieve most if not all of what was set them.

as he glanced at them I whipped out my pistol and banged him

I was quite upset about that Rhys, preventing me from getting my moment of glory. But you got me fair and square, you sneaky Bstard. :raspberry: I got round the side of them again afterwards and then steiner blew end-ex before I could open fire, and he was early. :( He could has at least let me do a suicide charge before he ended the game! :slap:

I was a ww2 airsoft virgin for this game too, and I have to say im selling most of my modern kits and guns and concentrating on ww2 stuff, I had some of my hairiest moments this weekend and they named me psycho at the gz weekender in 2006 for the stuff I got upto, but it has to be said, well done to the organisers for putting this together and thankyou to everybody for your warm reception and excellent conversation, not to mention some damn good homemade elderberyy wine "hic".

loved playing as an SAS trooper behind enemy lines, an excellent experience i took full advantage of, think I even made Yith jump a couple of times, and he was on my team! And to our illustrious leader, hope you get well soon mate, hope to work with all you guys (sas) on a future mission, lol.

once again a great weekend, even with the weather!

hehe sorry lardy but I couldnt let you butcher them all. had you tapped me on the shoulder I'd have been happy to gun em down for you :P fair play to you though you didnt smack me for it later

all the people who got suprised by us partisans over the weekend took it in great humor. On a non killing note it was amazing to be able to wander into firefights and see everything going on around me. and to switch sides when captured. gave me a real different perspective on the game. was also fun to get to do some proper sneaky stuff. apart from carrying the m1 carb to the cp in the morning I then decided to leave it there and used nothing but the 1911 all day. really made me play differently and try to be extra sneaky

I'm still grinning about that jeep charge - totally futile but oh what fun! I also enjoyed bussing in a jeep load of yanks to storm the Village and storming in only to find it deserted! Other highlights: some great kills on Hill 221, and Rhys nonchalantly wandering around waving his white flag with his trusty 1911 hidden underneath! Hats off to Steiner & Neilblume for a cracking event.
