As my last game before a little break it couldnt have been better. me and craig relived favourite bits in the car on the way home. Was cracking fun from start to finish. a tough site to play on but an amazing site! Big thanks to taffy for letting us use it and big thanks to the organisers for yet again putting on a cracking game.

and I think the social was the best yet :) so many funny moments.

Heh, murky bath now emptied and wounds patched up, just a couple of weeks of kit drying now to do!

Fantastic effort by you all.

We set you a tough challenge - harsh terrain, harsh challenges and the oppressive weather was yet another hurdle to overcome. But you came up trumps, repeatedly banging your heads against what might have seemed a brick wall, only to find with team effort anything is possible.

Impressive kit on show, great attitude and camaraderie - and another CiA event comes to an end.

Big thumbs up to Taffy who went way beyond the call of duty to make sure his visitors were looked after, it made all the difference. And a big hug to Helga (and her helpers) who manned the kitchen as well as keeping Che in check and leading some Jerry assaults today!

Another Cracker! Had a great time as usual in and out of battle. I had plenty of brilliant gaming moments I'm sure I'll do my best to bore you with at the next social. The site is fantastic and it was certainly made good use of; I'm knackered, not used to hills on the fens.
A big Grazie to Taffy & Co for being excellent hosts, Helga and helpers for the lovely grub and of course the CIA crew for organsing such a great event once again. :good:

What can I say without sounding like an echo!

Had an absolutely amazing time, I think the fact that all but 1 of my guns stopped working actually got me stuck in more, jumping in and out of the ferns and bracken with only a .45 and a fighting knife really made it quite special!

Thanks to all the Allies, and all the Germans too, was great to play with and against you all, it was good to see the Allies jelling and performing well as a team. Also to see the Germans firing everything they had at us (especially around the bridge) Good firefights, good times, great playing! :)

This game has definitely been put at the top of my most favourite games so far, and thats not bad since I have been playing now for 5 years! Well structured games (thanks to all the organisers for that) and excellent evening banter in the evening. I can't think why but I always managed to miss out on these during past games. :good:

Thanks to Taffy and his fellas for use of the site, only being 30 miles from my house it was well worth the trip, and will be looking to come back for some more shooting again!

Hope every1 got home safetly, see you at the next 1 :) 8)

Brilliant!
To many epic little 'battles' to list, the most painful of which was my own side shooting me in the face from about 12 inches :slap:
No hard feelings zepplinman

It's the people that go that make it so good :good:

Nice to see you all again.

Hi all

Thanks for all the kind comments.

Sorry we didn't manage to debrief you but as it started raining most people just seemed to want to get their kit stowed (including me!).

It was a fantastic weekend, the gaming all seemed to go to plan....which is a miracle!

Everyone played very fairly and with minimal moaning despite a tough site and the humidity on Saturday. As usual, the social was great fun and the campsite looked great. In fact, everyone looked great, the standard of kit just gets better and better, despite us constantly mentioning that you don't need to go to that much effort!

A massive thanks to Taffy, Nick and the rest of the Ex-Site crew for going above and beyond the call of duty. Just excellent.

Huge thanks, of course, too to Helga and various helpers. Everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy the grub served up. You do know you've set a precedent now, don't you? ;)

Finally thanks to you all for turning up and getting into the spirit of the game and playing so well. From an US Allied perspective we played really cohesively and poured it on the Krauts as often as possible, often taking detours from our main mission to assist the Brits! ;)

Oh, and for the record....The Allies took this one. :box: :pompom: :top banana: :rocker:

(There was lots of intel and Bletchly tell us that there were also some Enigma codes in the woodland outpost which we captured earlier in the day!)

As all have said a great event def one of the best, sorry I could not use the toy maybe next time.

Hey Great Orme comes back to mind but as I have mentioned before they have to many aliens around there.

Great banter on Sat night!

Jeep was dry by the time Spiers got it back here, I think he was getting chatted up by some bird in a sports car on the way back (that never happens to me  ) will leave him to comment on that.

  Hah, safe landing despite poxy US pilot getting jittery with the flak and dropping the tow rope. Dropped well short and had a hard tab and battle to get to our LZ. Still, a few cups of tea later and the chaps were heading for the bridge as if nothing had gone wrong at all. That's British pluck for you...
