Subject to having the kit and weapon I'll be playing on the Allied side (US). There may be 3 others with me, all dressed the same! We'll have to delay paying in case we haven't got everything by then. Hopefully I'll confirm by mid Jul (if there are still places).

Book now. You don't need 'everything', or indeed much, to play the game. Just the very basics.
Book now to avoid disappointment then get the kit before the end of August.

Payment sent via Paypal. US Airborne please (I'll be badged as 101st).
There will be 4 others when they pull their fingers out.

You might want to slap on an 82nd badge just for this one, seing as the 101st didnt take part in Huskey, its recomended tho.
I'm just covering mine up. Don't think I could physically stomach sticking an 82nd patch on my precious uniform

Guess I'll do the same - or just leave it. I can't see people getting too anal when 'looky likey' weapons are allowed.
Given my name (John Steele!), perhaps I should have gone 82nd!

True, but believe me I was going to go 101 and I was politely asked to do otherwise. Just stitch a piece of brown cloth in the four corners over it. So yes 'people' are bothered lol You don't get that many looky likey weapons...apart from snipers.

and AK's but to be honest they just look right.
Just sew the badge on, it won't take long and when there's a group of you all together it'll look great.
Elsewhere on this site 'people' are talking about what extra little bits of kit they could buy to make their impression complete. Suggestions of carlisle tins, fake TNT etc are abound, so I don't have a problem asking people to put the correct badge on their jumpsuit to represent a unit that was actually present at the battle we are portraying rather than being several thousand miles away training in the States.

Of course, this comment is only for people who have pukka kit and are looking to get the best look!
People are still welcome to turn up in a boiler suit with an AK if that's all they have.

Meant nothing by it mate, was just pointing out that just assuming that turning up as 101st was ok would be a faux pas on his part because we have all been asked to rebadge as 82nd. I put people in speech marks because I was trying to make the point that there were people i.e the Organisers; who would prefer to have everyone badged up correctly. I agree, which is why I have an 82nd patch waiting to be plonked on my jumpsuit following the Tudders recruitment drive in July.

Why dont you get a spare pocked and put an 82nd badge on it, and wear it like a brassard. Not sure who did it on here but it looked good. Saves undoing loads of stiching and painful fingers! I am going to do the same with a 101st patch for Josh's Carentan event
But I guess for all those SOF troopers the pocket is already on the jacket

I'm just going to sow the patch on to a piece of brown cloth then stitch the four corners so that I can tear it off once I've finished.
Didn't get mine from SOF...sowed on the pocket myself
impressed?

Why does everyone insist on fitting those damn pockets anyway?

I know i hate the way they look i think it looks alot better without them.
I didnt get 1 because I thought they would snag on braches and things, mind you with my 82nd impression, if I could carry any more gear I would be impressed without my legs buckling!

Why does everyone insist on fitting those damn pockets anyway?
Seen loads of pictures of 101st with them on. Is it not a good thing to have extra pockets? I've had mine on for a couple of games and it hasn't snagged on owt.
Also I find it easier to get in to when you've got webbing on, because your other pockets are pinned down by the suspenders.

Just out of interest, is that members of the 506th only or have you seen other regiments with them on?

Why would I look at any other than the 506th
If they had em on then it's good enough for me haha Sorry yeah, couple of 82nd pics as well, but only a couple.
Visible on both
Visible 2nd from the right
Visible on the guy nearest the camera on his left arm...I think.
I've got more lol
