Hi

For those of you without access to a Horsa.
Does anyone want or need a lift to Husky?
I will be travelling up Friday afternoon on a route of M40, High Wycombe to Birmingham, M42, M6, A49, A55.
Drop me a line if you are interested and we can arrange where to meet.

There is a possibility that im gonna come to Husky. But with not having a motor vehicle mite be slightly difficult. Got my driving test next wednesday (late starter at 25) but then i have to find a car.

So well i thought id see if anyone was going my way...being welwyn Garden City, Herts. Anyone from the newly formed the Herts battle group going?

You might be able to hire a car fella after you pass your test, give enterprise a call or something, that way you dont have to worry about long mileage back and to?

I don't think you can hire a car until you've been passed a year. I only passed last Oct and tried Enterprise etc and got knocked back for that reason.

Oh well. failed the Test. just scrapped the curb on the paralell park. Got 4 minors the whole way round though.

So my asking for a lift still stands.

Unlucky, that's what I did on my second test, although I still maintain there was no 'scrape' and the examiner was just being an arse. Just don't do what I did and wait ten years until you sit it again!

Good luck on the next one.

i passed my test first time, :raspberry:

it had nothing at all to do with the fact my dad used to be an examiner, and my test was with his old army mate

Do cars have doors that open any other way? I remember when they also had fold down windscreens :) a wireless (radio) was something that was in the house.
