Josh Smiff SAS
Heer Schmidt
Nice one Josh.
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
This isn't booking any where near as fast as I expected. Either way, it will be good to see you again Josh !
Myself and John Birchett are coming and we are bringing a new recruit as well, and inspired by Defiance and Inglorious (and cute pictures of young, nubile French Partizans I found on Google) we may go for more of a resistance type look that straight Army. Seriously though, I am looking forwards to some proper sneaking around. Unfortunately I can't make the training weekend but I'll start training in my own little head.
If you're planning on a sneaky, dressed in civvies type role, the Jedburgh teams are your best bet, rather than the SAS .
Booking's only been open for a couple of days, so, no stress about it not filling up overnight! This event may not appeal to all because of its' nature (ie, pretty tough and non stop). Some people can't get the time off, or it clashes with some reenactment thing, or the event is outside their comfort zone. It will still go ahead if we don't get the level of support we're after, albeit slightly amended for the numbers.

Booked and paid.
I also have a mate who's dead keen to come if he can get the time off. If he does, he should get the prize for Person Who Travelled Farthest (3,500 miles)

Jesus wept! That's a hell of a long way! We'll bend over backwards to make sure he's kitted out if he can make it.

Like a bad penny i will always show up. In what capacity not sure yet .

Well we have had a little chat and I think we merry three will don some variations of field grey for this one.
Will book in when we have sorted out the uniforms and such
Will be posting the cheque when I get back home tomorrow, will be going as Jed or SAS, which ever is available and i'm needed on.
"Will you stop talking about the war!!"
"What, you started it!"
"We did NOT start it!"
"Yes you did, you invaded Poland..."
ill be coming but have to near the end month to pay
I am well up for this one, not sure weather to go German for the first time ever, but sneaking around in SAS kit sounds very tempting.
count me in

I think you should!
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
I am kind of attracted to the idea, but to be honest while my mind may think it's still 21, fit and knows no limits, I have the body of an office worker in his late 30's, so the concept of sleeping in a ditch doesn't get me all that excited.
Still, for this one I may just make the switch.
Sleeping in a ditch? We're not doing a "pissed on meths tramp" event you know! There'll be no slumming it for anyone . Plus, you're a relative youngster, being in your late 30's, compared to some of us!
CiA events do push people further than others but, we haven't killed anyone yet.

That's a regular evening's entertainment for some of us you know.
Well, that's the norm for the social, I know! It's what I did at Alsos, due to alcohol intake and the insufferable snoring in the barn!

I nearly joined you, couldn't have been any colder and was certain to be more peaceful!
So just how hardcore are you expecting it to be for the Jed teams ?

Depends on the weather! We're not going to give too much away of the gameplan, that's why we've put up a kitlist for people which should make them prepared for pretty much anything, without being uncomfortable in the process.
