Midday to midday is the one .

Evaders will need to be on site for 10.30 hunters not before 11 .

Clashes with Detling :slap: we'd wanted to come along, looks like we won't be as its the one re-enactment event guarunteed to be without the kids.

All the best for this Guy :good:

Guy will be in German uniform but will be directing the event. He will be the only person that knows what is happening and when, therefore maintaining the element of surprise/confusion/suspense for the Germans. Besides, he ain't fit enough to be a Jed.

Oh, and plenty of scope for mechanised troop movement/scouting patrols or long distance observation for the 16th SS if they wish to bring some kit, it's a blummin big site (and we will be using all of it, unlike Churchills).

LOL no ...why if I say under 300 it's a MILSIM and over 600 it's a SISK !

Germans are operating from a fixed base that is reprovisioning them , Jeds are carrying what they have left , and might be able to pick up some more if they are lucky . Actual numbers, mission briefs etc we'll sort out when we have both sides booked an ready to go .

Just trying to figure out how many mags I might need - and indeed, what weapon would be suitable.

If every there was a game for 500fps bolties, its this one. If we get bumped that will be very bad news and it will be down to pistols!
However, given that we are encamped then there is no reason not to have an alternative weapon in your armoury - take the K98 out on patrols, use the MP40 for guarding/sentry duty. For example. Just don't leave any :ghey: modern gun bags lying around else the Feldgendamerie will be called!

Incidentally, Guy has mentioned this in the scenario outline but any WW2 period gun (incl M14) is fine, no no worries about MP44 being a bit out of period.

Jeds can chose what they wish of course but size and weight will matter more than reach so I'd guess we will be seeing a collection of MP40s, Stens and M1 folding carbines.

That was my plan; tanaka for daytime, D-boys for guard duty -got to give the allies a chance.

 No dogs - its hard to get the safety glasses to fit, they smell when wet and don't bury their own crap. However, we will have a hidden CD player rigged to trip wires that will blast barking German Shepherd barking furiously at the infiltrators. Damn, I think I just inadvertently gave a bit of intel away...

This comes up at every E&E I've been near! I think dogs chasing people may raise a few H&S issues and I've not yet seen dog eye protection on sale anywhere! And they never take their hits!

Actually you can get eye protection for dogs.

I've got some for mine for when she was playing with the neighbours cat and kept getting scratched in the face... called 'doggles' iirc
