We gave a cut-off date of the end of July so that we could make a decision on whether to pull the event or not.
Hunter bookings haven't flooded in so we won't be able to run an 'escape and evade' event as planned since this requires a ratio of 3:1 hunters to evaders to make it work.
However, we are looking at modifying the plans so that we can run the same sort of scenario but with a more 'normal' balance of players. Guy is working on this at the moment and will post up as soon as possible. This will then give you all the option - either cancelling the event and rescheduling for next year when we can try again with the original concept OR go ahead with a modified event as planned in September. Of course, no reason why we can't do both but in any case the decision will be yours.
Either way, if you guys want to, we'll have a pretty full-on event in Sept.
Keeping the same date but with a change of scenario is fine by me as that sounds the best option. Especially if you keep it as 'full on' as Jedburgh was lining up to be. Otherwise it will be October before the next WW2 game and I don't know if I can wait that long.
I still think we should give an E&E game a go though, even if we have to wait until next year.
I concur with Lardy on all points!

In retrospect yes, but given the low booking numbers for the bank holiday we thought we would have a better chance for later on. Still, can't bugger about now!
Whatever
perhaps the date shouldn't have been changed
We have more booking for September than we did for August though.
both ideas are good for me. still shame we couldnt get the numbers for full on E&E i was looking foward to that anyway anough winening .lets have somthing decent and military.

Bah! Che and I have spent hours working out physiological torture techniques Oh well, it will be good to do something in September.
Who's to say there won't be any need for physiological torture techniques?
Yeah bro retrieve the black book of torture at once. oh and the spare bondage kit you had left over from the last time at this point chomers practices his surrender technique.

Will it still be a Jedburgh themed game? Only I would like the chance to use my Jed kit
The scenario won't change but the dynamics will.
Still can't make the Sep weekend, but PLEASE run another E&E next year.

Yes, we will have another crack at doing an E&E proper next year. In the meantime...
Op Jedburgh is now open to 20 players maximum a side but we will start off with 15 per side booking.
Allied troops who were up until now secret and only known to Guy will remain secret (so that we can have another crack next year).
BUT for Op Jedbugh V2 we are asking Allied players to book on in the normal way straight away please.
The style of the event will remain much the same - Allies dropped behind enemy lines using only their wits, what they carry and what they can find to survive. Germans will have an organised, tented encampment and will be mechanised. The event will remain 24hrs and there will be no joint encampment/piss up on the Saturday night. Operations will continue into the hours of darkness, a joint period of rest then operations resuming at first light.
