Well, bookings are dribbling in at the rate of a sloth.
Any ideas if Dalby is pushing this to the reenactment crowd at all?
I shouldn't think Dalby will be pushing. He would have done had we got our shit together and done a joint venture, as it was he got frustrated and did it himself.
Reenactors are choc a bloc with their events until the season ends - that's why Dalby put his event in December.
I have posted up event details on the PST forum at the beginning of June.
I don't hold out much hope of getting this booked up with enough people TBH. Which is very annoying.
I'm being pragmatic, TBh if it doesn't book up well it wasn't for want of trying .

Just spoke to Guy re disappointing bookings. Of course, the temptation is to scrub it but there is an alternative.
Instead of an E&E we turn it into a bit of a hardcore 'normal' game. We might end up with 15 paid Germans plus organisers which is enough for a 'side'. The Allied side has been restricted artificially because of the E&E concept but there will be no need for such a restriction for a 'normal' game. Reveal the Allied players and open bookings to match German numbers.
If we give the punters the option of scrubbing the event or changing the game concept (not scenario) then this might very well be a go-er.
Thoughts?

Following on from telecon with Guy I have posted up some stuff on Op Jedburgh relaunch. We could if you want reorganise side leadership, I don't mind switching to Allies.
Allied players will now need to book in the normal way (no secrecy!) and we will start at 15 a side, then open it to 20 a side. Heh, lets be optimistic!
Happy to lead the Allies with you Dave. Could do with airing the M43s!

So, looks like this isn't going to happen at all then, and no game lined up for the foreseeable future.
Shall we announce a 6-month break or something then come back with an event in Spring 2010 that will be better than all the SISKs that are running in the coming months?
We've got Dalby's game in December anyway.

Sorry I haven't really contributed much recently. Brain is in other places at the moment and personally, I could do with the break. I haven't got a fucking clue whats happening with the Job at the moment (and wont have anything concrete to go on till the 14th September) and im stressed to fook at the moment.
I say we let them get their fill of SISK's and PBI's stop-start shite for the rest of the year, then come back at them with something that really puts them in the zone in say, march/april next year.
Just my thoughts on the subject.

Tend to agree with Jay . TBH we've re jigged this twice now and still not got the bookings . With the shite going on in my life at the moment TBH my hearts not in airsoft at all .
For my money -Pull the event , I'll let IED know so we don't fuck them around too much and burn our bridges and all our 'loyal crew' can go to crap events instead for six months . IF (and it is an if for me) , we decide to get going again next year they might be a bit more appreciative/ supportive, if not , then well it was nice while it lasted .
Sorry if this is a bit harsh but this activity is not a priority for me at the moment .
Well, we did say that we'd quit at the point we couldn't run an event for the lack of bookings.
Still, I'd like to carry on running things. If I don't then I'll sell my US kit, go German and start reenacting with Helga and Che's lot!
Can't run the event without Guy even if we had the players!
