Because of the high winds we're having at the moment we're moving the camping area we had planned for Saturday night at Op Lightning to a more sheltered area.

See the yellow area on this map:
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?ie=UTF ... 2&t=h&z=16

Please park in the car park as usual.

Note that this will be in the play area for one of the scenarios during the game so please ensure that any modern tents are packed up before play begins and the area is tidy.

It should make a nice area for the social.

If people want though they can borrow one of my period tents to camp in.

I'll be using the 160lber tent with Ed and Nige (there's space for one or two others maybe).

I'm also planning to bring bring my bell tent which sleeps 3 VERY comfortably and I have 2 pup tents that can be set up as well and sleep 1 each comfortably, 2 each at a squeeze.

These will look pretty cool during the day so may as well go up even if not used on Saturday night.

If you want to sleep in one of my tents for the night then let me know... or any other questions please post away!

Note that there should be one of the organisers on site from about 2pm on the Saturday. I'll arrive sometime after 3pm with the big tents.

Hi Yith

As we three only have a horid modern monstrosity at the moment we would certainly appreciate a period tent to sleep in. So could we sleep in your three man bell tent?

Yup... I thought you might want to borrow it.

It's a really nice tent.

If you can, please still bring your modern tent in case there are any problems.

Nope.. the bell tent has a full groundsheet and is very cosy.

Hi Rich

Thanks for the info, I am afraid it will have to be my 9X9 for me which will have to stay up as the top half of my Land Rover will be missing!

Yeah but a 9x9 isn't made of bright pink nylon is it!

I think we can live with it :)

That would be nice, but it's not essential. There should be a few people on site when we get there... but the more the merrier!

Since my tent is in a state of disrepair and could collapse in high winds (and is also bright blue :slap: ) could I use one of the pup tents please Yith?

Is the green area the site boundary? It doesn't look as big as I was expecting but then its hard to judge scale one aerial photos.

Sure... as with Wladek, please bring your tent as well in case of problems.

Note that the pup tents do not have groundsheets.
