I dunno about everyone else, but I'm getting withdrawl symptoms from not being able to dress up as a German and strut about. Therefore, a few of us will be attending EAG Worthing on Sunday 15th August, and it will be an opportunity for anyone coming to Sealion to try out their WWII kit.

Attendees:
Steiner
Jimbo
Boshman
Razorlight
Fremsley

Directions:
"It's woodland so it doesnt have a post code per say but it's roughly BN13 3UB

Head down to the south coast to the A27. If you're coming from an easterly direction, head towards Worthing untill you're on the A27 then head towards Arundel. As you leave the outskirts of Worthing the A27 goes into dual carriageway. Go along short stretch then take the next major turn off (A280) and double back on yourself. as you leave the slip road, there's a roadsign (Worthing 5 miles, Brighton 16) a further 300 yards, then a sort of layby then a sharp turning left onto the site. There's normally yellow tape showing.
If you're coming from the west, head to Arundel then go along A27 and on towards Worthing, appox 5 miles outside Arundel is a major turn off which goes towards London and the A24 /A280 junction go past this and 300 yds past the slip road is the entrance.
Hope this makes some kind of sense.

It's a very discreet entrance. It's the one which you will invariably drive past, thinking "it can't be that one"."

Caccaran Republican Army of the People (CRAP for short, aka Kroots' crazy crew, Caccara being a banana republic tabletop campaign that has been on/off for several years now) Is having a team meeting this week to get our stuff in order for sealion, I'll put it forward as a possible warm up game. I was already going to suggest a warm up game the following weekend at Epsom as a warm up.

To the tune of "Mademoiselle from Armentières"

Napoleons army ran away, As you do
The guard stood firm for Frances Pride, As you do
They said the guard will stand and die
But we heard what their Colonel cried
It wasn't pretty I tell you.

I'll be there! :good:

“I wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."
Adolf Hitler, November 1942

"Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."

Vast open fields intersected by hedegrows and drainage ditches, and you guys are going to train at Epsom, a bunker underground? You're all crazy. Everyone else is welcome at Worthing, where it's woodland but not underground tunnels

Crazy? I resemble that allegation!

The (il)logic behind this it is just that we have not played as a team for a while (most of us have different summer distractions) so I was going to suggest something local/easy to get our blood up and help us get a bit more 'together' as a team prior to sealion.

It's a reason I never plan events in August, just coz so many people have holiday commitments etc, off paying twice as much as the holidays were last month just coz the kids are off school, Rant! I really annoys me and I dont even have kids, but anyway I digress. To anyone that can make it, you'll be very welcome and to those that cant, then we'll get some good photos at Sealion :good:

I'll be along for this warm up game. I managed to get a pair of east german jackboots for £15 at W&P so it'll be a good chance to brake them in. For anyone coming who hasn't been to site before, when you're driving down the dual carridgeway alongside the wood, look for some yellow tapes hanging in the trees (if there still there?) and the small turning in is immediately after.

It's white mine tape fluttering in the breeze, if the locals or ravers haven't nicked them, I'll make sure fresh ones are up and visible. I'll ask the ford guys along but cant guarentee anything.

well, the team meeting kind of decided on the 21st at Epsom as our team game (mainly due to travel and . prior commitments the same weekend). What did you expect for a team based on an anarcho-syndicalist/maoist/communist revolutionary alliance for a country all in Kroots head! :slap:  :slap:

Bring on the German parachutist dressed as nuns! :P

We have a Padre, but it really is hard enough to get girls to do airsoft, if we ask them to dress as Nuns as well, they will just know we are all having wrong thoughts!

I do miss Boshman's nun-with-gun avatar. And Bedsnherts Fallschirmjäger-disguised-as-nun.
