Nice one Jimbo. Sounds like a cracking weekend, stick me down for SS. Hopefully hear a bit more about it at the Brittany game.

I thought you were coming over from the dark side dear boy! Ah well more targets (actually that's rubbish as you do invariably manage to plug many ofus brits with that nasty mp44)

Glad to have you both on board sir :good:
I'll sort out some details this week, with land owners and range and once I have proper information for you all about prices and booking I'll let you know. I wont open booking thread yet as it's so far away but I will offer up as much info with as much notice as possible.

I'm interested in this, just all depends on Oic Homefront

"Will you stop talking about the war!!"
"What, you started it!"
"We did NOT start it!"
"Yes you did, you invaded Poland..."

Well, lets just say I have just ordered a Home Guard Arm band and a pair of shoulder flashes in preperation

Uniformed or un-uniformed/in civis will depend on my ability to source battledress or denims that fit at the same time I can afford them (still a bit short post Xmass).

Weapons, I see the Sten gun prototype was built during December 40/Jan 41, so US tommy gun, shotgun or some bolty would be more suitable. Still, I'll more than likely live up to the home guards name (Look, Duck and Vanish!).

To the tune of "Mademoiselle from Armentières"

Napoleons army ran away, As you do
The guard stood firm for Frances Pride, As you do
They said the guard will stand and die
But we heard what their Colonel cried
It wasn't pretty I tell you.

Resistance is fertile

A BAR would be an ideal weapon for Home Guard as well. :)

Well, I could arrange an aquabuse that looks like it was used at waterloo (from my pirate larp, mainly foam rubber land latex, bang supplied by a party popper!)

I'm a strong possiblity as 12th SS Jimbo (inspired by that dashing young Pimms fellow).

quote]

Dont wish to be too anal but 12th SS werent around at the beginning of the war...should do the first 4 Divisions really....

Sounds like a good event!

Just manged to get a denim BD jacket so its HG for me (I have to loose a bit of gut to get it to fit properly!). i'm not sure if anyone has seen this site, but it gives the correct insignia etc.

http://www.home-guard.org.uk/

I may go for Worthing (SX5) or my Grandad's LDV lot in Shropshire.
