I'll be tenting on Saturday.

Kavster will be also - I'm picking him up from Doncaster on the Saturday.

Hi... I just got back from F&O... I thought I better mention that apparently there will be a charge of £5 per tent for the camping tonight.

 if thats true, its decidedly off, not mentioning it now (not you Yith as you only found out today), but when some will have set off (those that are travelling some distance) :x and have no idea.

Well its down to the site owner... not F&O or me... sorry.

Unfortunately someone should have told me before, but didn't.

Any problems... take it up with F&O not me. Thanks.

Don't start things are frantic here packing us and kids, wasn't stating a problem as for us its 3 in one tent, I just think its a smidge cheeky to be told so late in the day so to speak  if you don't want responses to things, why post :?:

Indeed which is why I intentionally put in the other post I realised it wasn't your fault (to pre-empt you thinking I was having a pop, but you must have missed that bit ;) ) try reading what I put, I do find it helps........... sometimes ;)

Its more the likes of Kav I feel annoyance at site owner, cos its a cost he hasn't worked into the weekend (and yes its only a fiver) but, train fair, game fee, bb's, smokes, food etc and then now camping, whose to say he'll have extra funds on him for it ? I know when I go to a reenactment event or indeed airsoft one, I budget it as much as possible down to the last pennie (including what I can afford to spend on goodies should I wish).

F & O will need to get their site update and their forum though as I checked on there after seeing this and theres no mention of camping fees on the main site or for other games in the future and I'm quite sure if they don't want unrest amongst the ranks, they will have to give them a smidge more notice than us, but I'll moan at Jamie later

What time is kick off tomorrow? I may just drive up in the morning if its not too early. I'm one of those on a budget so I hadn't planned on this extra £5. I've only got £50 for the entire weekend as I'm owed 3 weeks wages.. I object to having to pay to camp, especially after not being told. Bloody landowners! You can see why communism is so popular... Anyway cheers for letting us know Yith.

Kick off... not sure... but if people can be there between 8:00am and 9:00am that'd be best I think.

Earlier everyone turns up the better! :)

Don't forget the clocks go forward! :)

i wonder if the site owner will be instaling wc and running water like most other pay campsites provide  .not shooting the mesenger yith just not only makes a more expensive weekend but seems a bit cheeky of the land owner.

Thanks for the concern Helga, I'll be alright I think as I've been saving for the possibility of buying other stuff anyway.

Agree that it's very poor form that we only find out now - I'm currently on the train. If I'd have been tight like I have at previous games, this probably would have tipped the scales... :x

I dunno what it costs you to get to events hence the concern I know rail travel is sometimes not always as chirpy chirpy cheap cheap as it seems

Hope you ain't getting too many funny looks on the train, well no more than usual  and see you on site, think we're aiming to land about the same time ;)
