on behalf of the new partners Blue Cross appeal

Dave Barrett has offered me the use of a field and a marquess in Notts to run this event in November - camping allowed

Date TBC but intend to be end Nov , open to all + wives

Cost £15-20 all of it going to charity

as we don't have a game to celebrate our 3rd anniversay , would like to subtitle this as CiAs unofficial 3rd birthday / Xmas bash .

Any objections ?

Of course your all invited !

I'm there. The missus has "volunteered" as well. She drinks more than me! :happyclap:

That's cool - although you hadn't noticed that Boryszyn is being advertised as our 3rd anniversary event! :giggle:

Possibly, but money is real tight at the moment, so I'm struggling to afford anything.....

I think this is the reason behind the question is that there will be a Christmas charity bash organised by Che/Guy/DaveB but are you happy for it to be branded as a CiA event (even if you aren't able to come).

Hmmm, looks like Guy has booked the same date as PD's weekender - 5th December. :slap: :slap: :slap: :slap:

Dave B has booked the village hall for this along with bar and 1940's band. He hadn't realised the date clash, just followed Guy's instructions.
Dave is OK to move the date but I have just spoken to Guy and asked that he rings PD and asks if he will postpone the event. PD hasn't posted on here about since 2nd July, questions have gone unanswered so, despite PD telling me a couple of weeks ago that the event was still on, I suspect he has lost interest and he is yet to take bookings.

Anyway, best scenario is PD game cancelled and piss-up goes ahead on 5th Dec.

No word from PD despite my PM to him and Guy's phone calls. I asked Bryn (Baggypants) what was going on and he didn't know! No bbokings have been taken so it must be dead in the water, why PD doesn't just post up 'postponed to 2010' or similar I don't know.

On a separate tack - Guy didn't turn up at the Alsos social. No idea why - has he rung you Jay? DaveB has bought 60 bottles of wine for the event already...

He called me on the 14th for a chat, but I didn't talk about Alsos, just the social and PD's game.

Guy phoned today. Che spoke to PD last weekend and asked about the Dec game - he said he has knocked it on the head. Why he hasn't posted to that effect I don't know. Anyway, I have moved the game section elsewhere and delete said game from the Game Diary.

Guy still hasn't got interweb (supposed to sorted for this weekend now and he has asked Che to chivvy up interest in the social event. Heh, PD said he would probably come.

Yes, will do - I've been a bit short of time, wot with Mary being is hospital. I've been scrubbing the kitchen floor tonight.

Strange Gadge is DJ'ing on this date - I thought he was 'well up' for PDs event and was giving 100% support.

Yes, I too thought that was strange and almost posted to that affect as well. Thought is best not too though, as he's only just recovered from his last hissyfit :ghey: .

Edit - Mind you, I will if he carries on being precious!

Wish I could make it chaps. I'd have urged you to do it on a different night, but by the time I had found out it was too late!
