Looks interesting keep posting on here as a lot of us don`t use face book so you will miss out on a lot of the Hmmm `Older veteran` members.
Are you running it or just posting on behalf of the site?
What sort of format will the `Games take`??? Will they be paintball type things Take the flag etc or will they be structured etc.
Cheers
Just had a look at the site, online. I might go to this, 1 reason, to check out the site, 2, I can use bolt action rifles at full whack! 3, to see who else turns up! It would be nice to have structured games, but I don't really care, just seeing how it goes will give myself info how "theme "games go.
If enough people from here turn up it could well " structure" the game to be a decent game.
Andy
always happy to see more ww2 themed games popping up. too far for me though for just an open day game. hope it goes well
Current ww2 armoury

Can admin move this to the main page please,. More to the fore, more for war. Looking forward to attending,
Apologies! Between work and working on the site I completely neglected this post!
Yes I am co-running the event. The game modes are still being decided but we have our main one being a beach landing (even though we are in a forest!) which will consist of an assault upon fortified positions. The capture of two lines of defense and then the final 'fort'. However we may extend it depending on if we get higher numbers!
A bandage/medic rule will definitely be involved for that longer game and we are yet to decide on the others having the rules yet. The game modes will be as themed as we can make them and as its still a skirmish we hope to make them fun.
Provided we get definite booked numbers then plan is to buy in specialty pyro such as stick grenades and some smoke generators for the landing gamemode (which we have made a whole new zone for this event.)
If possible and you can book it would be helpful so we can get an idea of scale and team balancing. It can be done here.
Hi, how are you doing for numbers? Myself +1 are planning on attending. On that note, are the teams suitably balanced because we can come as either side. Cheers
There was a booking error on the website that stated the teams were full. (Thanks to Dada Phlott for discovering it!) That has been fixed now.

Just a quick note to increase numbers and boost collective support from the forum would be to put up a booking list as per other games advertised. That way people can see How many people are committed etc (Stops sill questions about is it worth booking not sure of numbers) but most importantly when you see So and So from the forum has booked FJ or SS you are more likely to book as well its a bit of a Herd mentality.
Keep up the good work I am sure you will get enough players on this new site.
PS drop the Farcebook thing us oldies cannot get that and you loose out. This forum was set up by the WW2 community for the WW2 community so its the first stop shop for people
Original post updated that is a good point, while we cant do names I have posted the numbers.

Good Idea
Just booked a place, today. Pay on the day. Here's to hoping for a good turnout.

Nice, if people are still looking to book please do! The weather is looking to be in our favour and for any Axis players out there we could certainly do with your support. We know there are people coming who haven't booked so I would not take the confirmed bookings as an accurate estimate.
Hmmmm, 11 is disappointing. Come on you lot...... book on
I think quite a lot of people are still apprehensive about weather. While we know of a few that are coming who have not booked Im hoping we do see more especially for Axis.
maybe just maybe don't book a date the day after another event, a lot of people can't do two days in 2 different locations
Unfortunately it was the only day we we're able to fit one in and we wanted to make sure we had one run this year for sure.
Rain stopped play for me today, left at 6 o'clock this morning....raining, thought "I'll give one hour". Still persisting down at 7:05 (M25 St Albans) so turned round. It's still raining now although not so hard, but at my age playing in the rain doesn't do me any good at all!
I still want to visit this site, but maybe next year in the summer even if it's a "modern" game.
Hope it all goes well.
Andy
No worries at all man, it was incredibly wet and I think quite a lot of people pulled out due to weather. We still went ahead with those who came though and ended up having a good day of skirmishing even with 4 on 4. With the feedback we got the idea might be to possibly run a monthly WW2 Skirmish but we will confirm that later on down the road.
(P.S the flag is an Iron Cross)
Awesome day, great site, fantastic hosts. Was it raining? Didn’t notice, only the fly boys stop for rain. See you soon
