Hi guys
we've secured a very good deal for our members.
For just £10 we can have you a set of authentic WWII ID tags stamped with a unique 'army number' for you as a member of PBI.
These tags are also the *only* accurate type on the market - other companies do them but they are usually in the wrong colours, we've got an exclusive deal with the one decent manufacturer - you simply wont find better for less.
This price includes postage, stamping and we'll even throw in the string!
Normally these would cost you about £12 blank and then you'd have postage and the trouble of stamping them.
If you'd like to pre-book a set leave a post here.
ID taggs come in a green hexagon and a red circle with the following details:
Name: surname, initial, initial
Religion: a single letter 'b' for budhist etc
Army number: well sort that out for you unless you already have a real one in which case we'll use your existing digits for you.
We need 15 peoples to buy in to get it at this great price so come on lets have something truly unique for our group and get tagged!

address to send em to!
You also need to send £10 as a 'personal payment - money owed' to: Louise.cheetham1@googlemail.com
If you dont put it as a gift paypal robdogs will take 50p off us!

Were WW2 service numbers 5 or 6 figures Gadge? I know my army number is 8 digits, so I'll have to chop at least 2 off it for my tags.

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
i just chopped of my last number pete,
Here's a list showing how Army Service numbers were assigned in WWII
http://www.northeastmedals.co.uk/mm/arm ... umbers.htm
South Staffs between 4,904,001 and 4,960,000.
After 1942 everyone had numbers from 14,000,000 onwards
When Simon in my old group did mine he did the last 5 digits for me (last six would have started with a 0)
It looks like Staffords enlisted pre 1942 would have had
The South Staffordshire Regiment 4,904,001 to 4,960,000
I might get a second set to reflect this.
Last five makes sense to stamp though as the first 2 are the same for the entire regiment?

Just to confirm, if you don't already have a service number, leave it to us to sort out!
PM sent and paid.

PM sent and paid for 2 sets

Pm'd, just sorting out payment
Just thought, did they have blood type on them? or was that a later thing.

We'll have two - will PM Scaley with details.
I think we already have a number from our PBI Issue Paybooks from the very first training day.
Paypal sent with info as attachment.

No blood type on these Pete.
What a good idea!
I'd like a set as well please.
Dumb question - why not the full service number on an ID tag?

PM and payment on the way. I've just taken the "49" from the S.Staffs numbers and added the last 4 of my army number on the end.

edited pending message being actually true.

I think they're just on about using part of their old service numbers to make a WWII one.
All of the number will be on the tags
Sorry, yes I see.

I have a set already, got them from SOF, are these gonna look silly wrong? ![]()

Well the green one is black on the SoF sets.
The ones we're ordering are the correct colour.
It's up to you!
