Keith, do you no longer have your Kubelwagen?
Or is it a pain in the hoop to get it to Essex?

Heh, I personally wouldn't be too concerned about having the 181 at a show TBH. I couldn't care a stuff what other 'reenactors' think - we are at a show for our amusement and to give the public something to look at when they take the kids out for the day. It could even be a talking point, another thing to chat to the public about. If we had a camo net we could always throw it over it. I'd like to see Keith get full use of his toy investment.

Is it massively different from a KW? I know sod-all about vehicles - although I've seen enough Dneprs done up as wartime Beamers at shows.
I do remember from my days of owning aircooled VWs that any journey further than the supermarket involved a lot of OCA (Old Car Angst) so I wouldn't blame anyone for not wanting to drive theirs all that distance.

On another note, I'm guessing that we don't have anything to cook on any more....?

To keep others in the loop - arrangements trying to be made for a visit to Dave's house on Monday to catalogue kit for disposal, retrieve kit that belongs to others, buy kit, borrow kit for Waltham.

If there is a spare pair of 7-foot poles (in 2 pieces each) for a flysheet, they are ones Dave bought for me. I owe him a tenner for them.
