Spoke to Kermit about this and i'm not sure if he's aired it with you guys.

A little wary that SH/Chris has appointed a commercial retailer as his 'kit advisor', obviously hes only going to recommend his own stuff, *not* the best deal for players.

Nopt much we can do about it with a private group of course but i tested the water re helmet covers and it seems he really wants to flog them rather than encourage players to do the realistic (and much cheaper) alternative of leaving em bare, or using inner tube , chickenwire or straps etc.

I'm only posting this to seee opinion and in no way do i think we can do owt about it , it just feels a bit wrong to me.

I'm not hugely bothered.
Dog Green 1 has turned out to be a rather unreliable supplier and at least Anthony is on the ball and interested and is something I would encourage.

Re the helmet cover - I think this was just in response to John M's question as he mistakenly bought a peadot cover, so fair do's, Anthony just told him what it should be.

I would be much more concerned if Richard Underpants had been 'appointed'!!

Now, if only PBI could find a supplier as interested in serving his customers....

I wouldnt want a single supplier dave , especially not like that.

What happens when someone brings out something better and cheaper and we feel obliged to recommend a more expensive product.

I have to agree with Gadge.

It may make things easier... but not better.

Sure, but it's not a single supplier - chaps can get their kit anywhere. Anthony is only the 'advisor'.

But I'm with you in principle - prescribed single suppliers are a no-no and there will be no 'you must buy this from...' on this forum, 100% agreement there...

I'm not bothered. It's not like people have to buy from him. People have free will and I hope they would exercise it if they thought the recommended supplier was starting to take the piss.

I had hoped one of the strengths of this forum was the diversity of different suppliers, leaving it up to members to do the research and buy according to their cost and quality .

TBH the way KGSS is going I can only forsee Chris becoming more disillusioned and bogging off shortly . I don't think he'll take many people where he's trying to go , to me it seems like only the reenactors (who don't come to games) are interested .
