So far *very* unhappy.

Takes ages to answer mails, took ages to post stuff, went to wrong address (partly my fault) then when recovered told me it was sent first class tuesday.. arrives today with postage paid on the friday! I dont mind someone saying I've not had time to post it but lying to a customer on something thats obvious is stupid.

parcel arrives, hat is the wrong size and clearly labeled as a 59 (the minimum i need is a 60 , a 59 is too tight. Hat is also no better quality than the one kermit got me and cost £25 quid.

Buckle is the cheapest looking casting i've ever seen, no leather rear tab with it and it does not compare favourably with either a original lufty one or a czech heer repro buckle.

For £13 i could have got the whole belt off dishmop!

For £40 odd for these two items of dubious 'high qulaity' taking a month to arrive and with poor coms i'm seriously not impressed.

Well apart from the issue of buyer beware (buy from Anthony and you get to look and try before you buy) I have to say I've found his customer service lacking. I gave him a list of things I wanted before D-Day which he said he would sort out and get back to be with prices and availability - he never did.

Keith has also complained it took weeks for some books to turn up from him.

Nothern Militaria, just to check ,this is not Anthony "Reich Stuff" but "Doggreen1"?

Not used him, but maybe hosting him on here is coming to an end if his service is crap ? I'd suggest warning him, however I'm sure all you'd get back is a load of good "reasons/excuses" whereas two of you have obviously seen his work at close hand and found it lacking . Mind you do we suspend Warren as well

Aye Dog Green. Others don't find him lacking - he is part of and supplys Das Reich. Nelz is a satisfied customer, no doubt others too.
It does provide a balance to Militaria-net (Anthony is doing very well through good customer service) and it's up to buyers to determine whether good they are buying are suitable.
It is a bit difficult to judge whether personal experience is matched by others - if I remember I'll ask around at Varsity for personal comments...

You are right Guy, it would be hard to find a worse supplier than Warren - shocking service and shoddy goods!

BTW, I've arranged with Anthony for a banner exchange - I won't be asking DG1!!

I did get a pile of excuses.

He said he'd posted it tuesday but it was sent fri as he asked his wife to post it.

Apparently the buckle is the same as the one sof sell, i dont buy form them cos they are *shit* thats why i went elsewhere, if i'd wanted a sof buckle i'd have bought one form there for a lot less given my ai discount.

Anthony does the same buckle for 7 quid!

The hat is the wrong size as apprently the factory sometimes mislabels them but it fitted dog greens head so he though it would be ok....

what a load of balls.

I've told him forget it, hes just lost a return customer.

Heres a thought , rather than discuss personal problems via PM use his open forum (bit late in this case now i realise) however it does give others a "history" to look at ? People can spot a bullshitter at 100 yds :D

Ah, been here already Guy.

I was waiting a long time on the order, sent pm, no response, sent emails no response.

Then i left a 'wheres my order' message on his section and he got back to me PDQ.

Once he'd sent the email he deleted my post to 'tidy things up'

As it is i dont want to cause a public argument about this over a hat... I was just sounding out if it was just me hes rubbish with and warning you all really.

Indeed...

Well lets just say he's not going to be on my list of recomended suppliers in coming articles.

Epic militaria/Anthony on the other hand i cannot fault.

I just wish i'd have got the order off him in the first place but at the time he didnt take paypal.

Could of saved myself over £10

Following Barratt's posting re. helmet I have removed DG1's permission to edit or delete posts, so it will be there for all to see...

I've done quite a few orders with Northern Militaria, and i'm certainly not unhappy with the products. Takes a fair while to get the stuff (which is why i order well in advance), but given how i *think* he works - let orders come in so he can then order in bulk - i cant say thats surprising.

Thing is...

I personally order from UK dealers when i need things quickly, if i use SOF i know i'llpay a premium but i get it next day and its usually the item i ordered as well.

If i can wait a month i'll order HK or US and save myself a packet.

Having a UK dealer that just supplies you SOF stuff at more or less the same cost but with a month plus wait does not impress me.

Yet, to offer a view from someone who has done half a dozen orders with NM, I have yet to receive anything from NM thats as low quality as SOF stuff is....

Just goes to show that there are two sides to every story.

He told me thats where he got the buckle he sold to me.

I can forward you the email form hhim stating that if you like?

Thats interesting Gadge, but as I said above "I have yet to receive anything from NM thats as low quality as SOF stuff is".

Notice how the "I" is in bold? Yes, me, moi, myself. I'm not refering to anyone else...

No but that donest mean hes not doing it does it.

Looks like you've been lucky...

The point is if hes supplying sof quality stuff then he is, regardless of who receives it.
