I think its about time we put a lid on it. Personally, I think that we need to try and not "jump all over people" on the forum (and yes, i've been guilty of this)

Regarding kit being "out of place" for a specific game is a difficult question. I know that we should try and keep people to the theme of the game, but we have to do it in a more subtle fashion. Perhaps we should gently PM people about it, instead of posting it on the forum?

IMHO its not what we're saying at times, its how we're saying it.

With regards to criticism of kit, its six of one, and half a dozen of the other. Some people are too sensitive, and mistake constructive criticism for overt criticism, and sometimes, some posts come over as a straight "you're doing it wrong!" Yes, we should discourage overt criticism, but even with constructive criticism, some will still see it as a personal insult.

Tricky one, methinks.

Hey Matt

Just wondering

were the US marines actually in europe in wii

Cos this is supposed to be a NWE europe game, might look a little odd if your the sole US marine?

Sure we cant tempt you into your US inf kit for the good of the narrative story?

Yeah yeah you're right I'm just too sensitive, and fuck it as you say four people disagree so why should my opinion count for sod all ? . Seems you can't take any criticism from me or anyone else .

Both Webby and Neil could have been handled so much more discretely IMHO .
Just because they want an argument doesn't mean we have to give them a nice public one , walking away works just as well . We could have ignored Neils post for a day and let the other forum members give us a barometer on his cirticism , instead of which we all jumped in ..lost opportunity .

Anyway lads get on with it , I've been here before with clubs and forums and when we're left with three hangers on and nobody wanting to organise anything or be bothered tp come we can reflect at leisure.

Re

Guy... can we please not lock/edit threads that have organisers involved in them.

If there is an issue with something we are discussing then please bring it up in the private forums before doing anything.

Thanks.

Actually -I'll do what I think is appropriate for the benefit of this organisation . I locked it to stop it getting out of hand , and then raised my concern on the private side for a reasoned debate . Any one of us can unlock threads , so I'm not abusing anyone of their right ot reply . I'd do the same again if I felt things were getting out of control, thats what moderation is for.
I've put a shite load of time, effort and money into CiA I don't want all our good work pissed on by a bad day on the forum no matter how irritating some of our members can be .
Any problems with that you've all got my tel number.

Thats my last comment on this issue, I'll see you all after a week .
