Maybe I could get my mate jewish mate Laura to take some pics of herself in her ss tankers kit too...#

What a total hatchet job, I'm sure some re-enactors do have right wing tendancies but ai reckon you'd find more nazis at a daily mail readers convention...

I'll have a word wiht her about it....

I think I shoudl send a photgraph of them in my best Brandengurg Commando kit with my mixed race girlfriend (half trinidadian, half asian) by my side to show what a massive nazi I am :)

She watched the programe with me today and thought it was equally ludicrous.

Zombie looked like my mate Karl from sheffield, hes an ss re-enactor.

used to date girl called Jo who had nice line in dubious material axis uniforms of the 'wipe clean' variety before she ran off with some bloke, thin it was something to do with underwood?

You know who i mean?

Karl's a very nice guy, i used to DJ at a Sheffield club ('dissolution') with him, i was always a bit wary at first when he got inot ss re-enactment but he's not a right winger as far as i can tell, looked just liek him in the programme though...

personaly, I would like to insert the recieving end of a 88mm gun in this "journolists" rear end. What a twat!

Just read the review of the program in the times, and even they agree that the program was grossly one sided....

think I've read them already not sure if I linked those earlier the mans an arse (thankfully at least we know he wears shorts) clutching at straws. In truth the fact is those articles cover the basics of what was in the programme so he kind of ruined his alledged exposee before it was even shown DURR

Just wanted to add that the couple that married at the event did actually met at this event hence it was a special place for them ;) Roll on Victory show when I can give Michaela much needed cuggle, this really has affected her and it saddens me more than anything as they said nothing wrong and did nothing wrong :( my heart goes out to them as its not just a programme to them  seeing as 'others' watch it and make assumptions about them based on the inane ramblings of a desperate journo :x ooo blood boiling

Helgs give her a hug from all of us as frankly they must be both going through a kind of a hell at present. Shameful, absolutely shameful.

Thanks for that I have posted on them.

That program was rubbish only about 10% of the vehicles that go to that event are German and most of the owners are in period kit. Typically 200 American jeeps go there and you are not going to tell me all the owners wear German SS uniforms!

It is true that not many of the re-enactors are in British uniform however many are in Allied US uniform which Mr Sweeney chose to ignore, So you will find that there are probably more people at that event in Allied uniform than German. It’s a fact people like to chose American or German uniform over British they tend to chose a foreign uniform hence why in the program you showed 3 French men in WW2 Scottish uniform and an English man in a French uniform.

The program was a typical L****r hatchet job to put Battle re-enactors in a bad light and discredit them.

The producers of the program lied about sort of program they were making.

The people in the wedding seen where told it was for a local news story, not a national program to insult them on their wedding day.

Mr Sweeney if there is anyone who deserves to be branded as a Nazi it's you Sir!

The SS re-enactors were told the BBC was making a general program about battle re-enactment and were not told Mr Sweeney was to be the slip-shod reported doing it. Hence why they were told not to make any comment to a liar like Sweeney who has been proved to be disreputable look at videos of him on U-tube.

In terms of the well edited bit in the drink tent were Mr Sweeney’s crew probably salted the conversation first with comments about immigration and terrorism, well go in any pub in Britain and you will get the same comments “try itâ€Â

statement on the ww2 re-enacting forum...

Please be advised that any discussion about the "Weekend Nazi" panorama special will be removed immediately as there are now legal proceedings taking place. This will be the case until they have ceased.

This is for the good of the forum and those involved in the legal proceedings. We do not want potentially libelous statements made, putting the forum and the members at risk as the case continues.

If you have any questions please PM me and you will be answered...

Here:
http://www.wwiireenacting.co.uk/forum/v ... hp?t=34426

With that in mind, I'm also going to lock the topic here as well. I will probably delete the thread in a bit...

I have moved this thread to our private area (rather than delete it Yith) until this legal action can be quantified.

Who is taking action against who?

I was anway going to amend Oddball's comment about Sweeny being a Nazi as that is clearly slanderous (fascist or dictator might have been acceptable  )

She seems to have very good connections on the axis re-enactor front.
